If Elliot wins 2, it will be considered a great success after the way this team has started. Maybe things "gel". I will be happy to eat a zillion crows if they do. But seriously, this excitement around Elliot is the same thing that we were excited about heading into last year "we have a better defense (than one with Clowney, Quarles and Sutton!!!)" and this year "we've made the necessary changes (cover 2 with a couple of DBs who combined weigh less than most of our O-linemen)."
Guess what. We still have a former walk-on qb who, although I think he looks poised, completes less than 50% and throws more picks than TDs. We still have a sieve of a defense that is looking for a real dang adult leader (because of the turd sandwich created between Ward and Hoke). And now we have a first-time HC who breathes fire, but realistically has under performed.
