While the announcers were sure nothing special, I did like one nugget they shared, when they said after Brown was hired, he immediately called Lincoln Riley and another offensive-minded head coach (I forget who) and asked them who’s they’d recommend for OC. Smart move.

Our guy? Clearly chose to keep his own counsel, and dilly-dallied around a”search” before low and behold, he hands the keys to a guy on staff who has never been an OC. Why? I guess he can recruit?

I said earlier tonight, BMac is the Lorenzo Ward of internally promoted OCs. The job should never have been his, but Champ just can’t give up control of the offense. It’s never been more pitifully conservative than today against an undermanned team.

The decision deserves to cost Muschamp. Yeah, Jake was awful (again), but the buck stops with coaches that can’t get out of their own way.
