** Tuesday media notes: Florida Week

** Jake Bentley says that a big focus has been on improving his footwork. He felt that it was a little better against Georgia this past week, especially on converting some of the third and longs.

** Excited to have guys like Deebo Samuel, Bryson Allen-Williams, etc. back for their senior seasons if you look ahead. They've bought into the culture at South Carolina. Those are the guys that will lead this team.

** Not much has changed with the Florida defense with their coaching change. They don't send a lot of blitzes and they play a lot of man coverage.

** Javon Kinlaw says the staff is still working through the plan to replace Taylor Stallworth for Saturday (if he can't play). It could mean Keir Thomas has to play more 3-technique defensive tackle. It could mean Ulric Jones and Kobe Smith play more. Probably a combination of the above, I would guess.

** Kinlaw says he's in the best shape he's been since he arrived at South Carolina. It helps him to be able to chase down short throws to the outside and play more snaps. Kinlaw says he personally felt like it was his best individual performance since arriving at USC.

** DJ Smith says he didn't practice today and he hasn't been cleared yet for Saturday but he's planning to play on Saturday. Smith says he got cut blocked right on his hip. Wasn't a dirty play at all, just football, and he caught the wrong end of it.

** TJ Brunson says that he and Skai Moore have a friendly battle going for the tackle lead. He's aware that Moore has a chance to be the first in school history to lead the team all four years, but he doesn't plan to throw the competition to him.

** Brunson says one of Will Muschamp's messages this week was not to pay attention to any of the disarray in Florida. The team has to focus on what they control.

** Skai Moore says that he was made aware that he passed Brunson in the team lead for tackles this season and he's looking forward to competing with him for that crown during the final few games of the season. He's glad Brunson isn't going to throw it to him.

** Moore and Keir Thomas both say they've seen major improvements from Kinlaw.
