** Malik Young and Dennis Daley have been rotating at LT. Donell Stanley has been working with the ones at left guard with Sadarius Hutcherson shifted over behind him at left guard. Alan Knott is with the ones at center. Cory Helms at right guard with DJ Park now working behind him there. Zack Bailey is with the ones at right tackle with Blake Camper behind him. Park has also worked some at right tackle.
** Co-offensive coordinator Bryan McClendon says he'd like to have six or seven guys that can go play at wide receiver. Ultimately want the receivers to be able to learn multiple spots so that teams can't easily take them away.
** McClendon is not even thinking about redshirts right now for the young guys. The mindset is to get them all ready to play.
OrTre Smith has impressed with better knowing what to do now versus the spring and is now 100 percent healthy and running around faster.
Shi Smith has a lot of ability. Still a young player who is learning. Have to keep getting him reps and caught up. He is also working at punt return. Deebo Samuel and Bryan Edwards are in the mix at kickoff return.
Chad Terrell is a very intelligent kid. He has been guilty of overanalyzing at times instead of just going and playing, because he's such a smart kid, but he's been a lot better the last three days.
** Randrecous Davis has done a great job of staying engaged even though he's been hurt. Davis was back at practice Monday if you missed that. He's approached it the right way and hope he can get right back in the mix.
** Malik Young says the battle at left tackle has been close, but that he and Dennis Daley are like brothers and help each other out. Daley has been picking up the system quickly. Young has been trying to help him learn it. Young says Eric Wolford has Young stay after practice and learn multiple positions, including center. Knowing the calls at center has helped him to better understand his role at left tackle.
** Jake Bentley says he spends three hours a day watching film or studying the playbook. Bentley said Michael Scarnecchia is still taking the back up quarterback reps. He said it can be difficult to learn the different multiple formations Kurt Roper wants to install but said it's easier when he's focuses on studying that.
