Uga done

Georgia has been shaky all year. Lost too many skill players. Beck was good enough to keep them afloat, barely. Stockton isn't even close to being good enough.

Tough when you lose your QB. Even with the insane amount of talent Georgia has, the entire offense feels different with someone new.

Of course. But I don't have a lot of confidence in Sark or your field goal kicker.
Ouch on the FG kicker. That is a position that is 99% mental. He was nails for much of his career, but doubt gets in a kickers head and just mushrooms. As for Sark, he can be brilliant, but gets "too cute" way too often.

Yeah, I agree. He's inconsistent. Almost like the team and the coaching staff loses focus after some success and ends up doing just enough to win. That works against teams with less talent. Not so much with equal talent.

I have no doubt that Texas has the talent to win it all. Just wonder if Sark can get them all on the same page for the entire game. For 2 games.

Only one SEC team left in playoffs. Are y'all pulling for Texas?
Yeah but only because I picked them to win it all. I'll say this, when I made my picks, I believe I may have underestimated how good ND, OSU and Penn St would be. I gotta say I'm having my doubts about Texas right now. Pulling for them tho.

Not sure that walk-on DB that interfered with the refs should go back to Georgia immediately. Big play early in the game when Georgia might have got a TD instead of a field goal. Probably wouldn't have made a difference, but he is going to catch some shit for that.

OSU, as much as I hate to admit it, seems to have caught fire at the right time.

As bad as that loss to Michigan was, it might have been the wake up call they needed. You would think for a rumored $20 million roster you wouldn't need that kind of motivation, but that seems to be the case.

That sweep play when they were on the one yard line is perfect example of what I meant when I said I don't have confidence in Sark. Too cute sums it up well. You don't turn a one yard run into a 9 yard slow developing sweep. Ohio St is way too fast for that. Especially when you have a fresh Arch Manning on the sideline. Super dumb.

Evidently Arch got a concussion on his one run in the first half and wasn't available in the second half. That wasn't known during the game. Still, the wide sweep was dumb and Sark is being roasted on Orangebloods for it.

Hadn't heard that about Manning. That makes sense. But not enough sense to justify THAT call. If i were Texas, I would go after Chip Kelly and send Sark packing. Texas has too much talent and money to settle for that.

That is interesting how that would escape notice. Usually the concussion protocol is highly noticeable on the sideline. Maybe it took place over the half.

If that poll you posted having you guys at number one is credible, he will be the toast of Austin this time next year. BUT, I would be skeptical of any poll that has us in the Top 10. I hope that happens for you and us. That would be great.

It must have been at the half. The only reason anyone noticed is he didn't seem to have his helmet the second half.

I was honestly pulling for y'all. Wanted the SEC to represent.

Starting to look like the SEC version of James Franklin. The expectations at Texas are high, and the money matches the expectations. I mean, you can buy enough talent for anybody to win eventually, but is Texas patient enough to do that? Can Arch save him?

The expectations for Arch are so unreasonably high, be ready for "he is a failure" posts after his first interception. Arch is as good a passer as Ewers, but he is also mobile and can avoid a rush. Ewers was like a bag of cement. If Sark can't score a lot with Manning, he is hopeless. The big surprise this year was how good the Texas defense was, no one expected it to be that good after losing the two first round picks from the interior of the d-line. If the defense stays that good, Manning will only have to be "good" not "great" for Texas to win. My concern is that Arch is so fearless, he will throw passes into tight coverage that maybe he should throw away. He can get used to completing those passes against average defenses only to be surprised in the playoffs when Ohio State or Georgia cornerbacks and safeties pick those off.

I'm pulling for the kid, if for no other reason that his Dad got a bad break in his college career.

Yeah, your defense definitely didn't lose that game for you. Holding OSU to 14 on offense was better than I expected. Never in a million years would have thought that Smith would have 1 catch for 3 years. I would have put money on that under/over. Good example of why I don't gamble. But when your offense only scores 14 and gives the other team 7, it's hard to win.

Maybe Sark can turn it around, but that sweep play was a perfect example of what we discussed. Too cute, and it cost them. No idea what he was thinking with that play call. If you can't punch it in from the 1 with 3 downs, you don't deserve to win. Texas has the talent to play big boy football with anybody. But what he did was the worst possible thing by turning a 1 yard TD into a 9 yard TD against that OSUs defense. Maybe he will learn from it and be better next year, but it's not like he's a newb or anything. He's definitely got some work to do for redemption after that. I have zero doubt that Texas would have won it all if they got the chance to play ND.

Agreed. The kid will be blasted unless they win every game next year.

No mess ups, no mistakes during a loss. And that sort of expectation is ridiculous.

At least he's getting paid a lot to put up with it.
