Opening round of the NCAA tournament. USC wins the first set 27-25, but loses the second 25-17. Tied at 1 set apiece.

After falling behind early, USC rallies and then holds on to take the third set. Now up 2-1. It's been really entertaining so far.

Update: An ugly 25-14 loss in Set 4 sends us to a a 5th.

The Gamecocks dig a huge hole in the 5th, fight off 3 match points, and go on a 7-1 run to get a match point at 14-13. After several more match points, the Cocks finally seal the deal at 18-16 to advance to the second round. Great match USC!!!

We get the winner of #8 Washington vs. Winthrop tomorrow night @ 10:00 ET.

Outstanding 5th set - glad you caught it! I saw on the Volleyball Twitter page that this is the highest ranked team we've beaten in 13 years. Let's rewrite that tomorrow night, if we play #8 Washington.
