SID's slightly favor Auburn over Alabama in West. Georgia clear favorite in East.

I would love to know the full story about the Will Muschamp deal. Were we ever in the running? Were we used to get a better deal for him? Did SOS ever intend to make a push for him? Did SOS ever talk to him about his interest in us?

If SOS never pursued Muschamp because he already had his sights on Hoke, I would be disappointed. I hope Hoke surprises me, but would have rather had Muschamp.

You are beating a dead horse...lol....but in my opinion, we paid Hoke $750,000 and we owed Whammy $750,000 and it would have taken those two salaries combined to land Muschamp. With the inability to not pay Whammy's salary I think it took the reality of affording Muschamp out of the conversation. I could be wrong but for the money I think we got a better deal with Hoke. I have seen Hoke and Muschamp interviewed and Hoke just comes off as more of a leader and head coach type than Muschamp. I like Hokes ability to deal with the media and that usually translates into a great recruiter. Like I said that's just my opinion....time will tell.

I agree with this. I believe Hoke surprises a lot of fans / people. SC defense will be much improved with a talented D line, new scheme & better secondary, & you can see a little of Hoke's upside on the recruiting trail with the transfers from the two safeties we landed this off season. I'm not saying Hoke will be as good as Muschamp has over the years, but I do believe he was an excellent hire. But time will tell.

These are really relaxing in a park, staring at clouds questions. Only two people can definitively respond and good luck getting them to be honest with their answers.

At work in an office with no windows. I honestly can say my job is pretty relaxing, but the cloud thing is not gonna work. I didn't know if there was maybe an article somewhere along the lines that answered one or two of those questions. I had never heard of the "clemsoning" thing until last year and boy did I get grief for that one. I have a good excuse for losing my mind, I have 5 kids.

I really wanted Muschamp also but was extremely happy about the Hoke hire.

My understanding is that SOS considers Hoke one of the best DC's he ever had at UF and that he tried to lure Hoke here since he first arrived here.

Things finally worked out for SOS in being able to land Hoke. Hopefully it works out for USC and Hoke!

It's not a slam. There really is no way you will get the answers so best move on. Even if there is an article somewhere there is no way to divine the truth on your questions one way or the other.

Anyway we've got Hoke now we might as well be positive. A lot of times the 2nd choice, if that is what Hoke was, works out to be way better. Folks may have forgotten that Rich Rodriquez was offered before Saban at Bama and he turned it down. Sometimes it just works out.

What Quisp said.

Those if you that are upset that we didn't get Mushchamp should chill.

Give Hoke a chance before y'all lose it.
