Watched my 1st game on WatchESPN / SEC+ today....

What's even better is with the Sling option (I have DISH) and the Watch ESPN app on my smartphone, I can watch the games anywhere!! So now I'll be able to watch some of those weekday regional games that start at 1pm or so while I'm at work. The challenge will be to not let me boss catch me doing it lol. It is some cool technology to be able to watch the games live on a cell phone anywhere you can get a decent signal though. Was driving back from my parents house this afternoon to my home (about a 70 min drive) and had the 1st game going on the phone. I know, not supposed to be watching that while you're driving, but I mostly just listen to the play by play through the truck stereo.

Just an FYI..

For those who wish to watch SEC+ in HD on their TV, you can do so with ROKU.

It is a device that allows streaming such as Netflix, etc. directly to your TV through an HDMI port.

I have the ROKU 3. (I think I got it for $79) and there are so many apps available including WatchESPN.
It connects to your TV using an HDMI cable, and streams from the internet using your WIFI (or Ethernet)

Of course, your internet/cable provider has to offer access to WatchESPN and SEC+.

I have TWC, and they offer all of the ESPN networks thru WatchESPN except SEC and SEC+. I have heard it is coming, but who knows.

I have been able to catch all of the baseball games on my ROKU because my nephew works for ESPN and has graciously allowed me to use his WatchESPN provider login.

Sorry this is so long, but for those who can currently watch SEC+ on their phones, tablets, or PCs, and would like to watch it on TV, then the ROKU is great for doing that. It is also great for so many other reasons, but WatchESPN streamed to my TV is at the top.

Best entertainment investment I've made in quite sometime.

Best way to get ESPN and SEC+ is Amazon Fire or Fire Stick.
I bought a FireStick for $39 and get WatchESPN + all the SEC games for free. Don't know how long it will last.
Prior to that I used WatchESPN through my cable (TimeWarner Oceanic - Hawaii). Only got ESPN, ESPN2 and limited ESPN3. NO SEC network.

Confused by it all but my lips are sealed.

Sumter, as happy as I was to watch both games on a tablet today, I don't know if I could handle transferring it to the TV screen!

Roku 3 is beyond amazing and with an attic antenna it allowed me to cut the cable forever.

$9 per month for Netflix + $60 internet + free OTA HDTV channels + over 1000 Roku channels vs $140 for TWC was a no brainer for me.

Streaming internet TV will soon be the norm.

HD is very good on Roku 3 but free over-the-air HD from my antenna beats everything including TWC and Directv.

I run three TV's off a single boom antenna in my attic and get incredible reception in Irmo. I think I get at least 20 OTA stations. In bad weather they can pixilate some but so does Directv.

Roku 3's HDMI outputs excellent 5.1 surround and comes with ear buds which automatically mute the sound when plugged in.

According to CNET the Roku 3 is top rated among all the streaming devices tested.

I constantly discover new channels on mine. Found one the other day that features old radio shows and another that shows nothing but silent films. Would you believe one that shows nothing but vintage car commercials?

Forkcock.....my chromecast works great but it won't allow me to cast the tab when I click on the "watch now" button...there is no 'cast' icon in the corner....is there something I am doing wrong?

So how can I find out how many and which channels I can get without a subscription? When I look on their website, most quality channels say subscription required.

How many more OTA stations do you think you could you could pick up if your antenna was on your roof instead of in your attic? Would a rooftop antenna also mitigate the pixillation in bad weather for those stations you already receive?
