Zia Cooke is not in uniform. She's in warmups, passing the ball around as everyone else warms up. As expected, LeLe Grissett is also not in uniform.

WBB: Championship Goals Center on Aliyah Boston
WBB: Five Things to Watch - Benedict

Who: #1 South Carolina vs Benedict
When: 7:00 pm, Monday, November 1
Where: Colonial Life Arena
Watch: There is no TV or Radio for the game. Admission is free and all seating is general admission.

Update: Zia Cooke is officially day-to-day with a right ankle injury. She's moving around fine, with no brace on her ankle, so it looks like no big deal.

Starters: Henny, Russell, Beal, Saxton, Boston.

Saxton wins the toss. Boston posts and kicks to Beal for an open three. USC can win a lot of games if Beal can hit those threes.

Benedict takes a 5-3 lead. The Benedict fans go wild.

Beal hits another three. Gamecocks lead 10-7. We've been saying it forever: If Brea Beal can be a reliable three point shooter, the sky's the limit.

South Carolina leads 12-11 at the media timeout. Dawn can't be happy with the defense. Or the offense.

Substitutions: Raven, Littleton, LA, and Cardoso enter the game, Henny stays on the court. Benedict is on a 7-0 run, and it's a good thing Staley is wearing a mask.

Bree Hall replaces Henny, but she almost forgot to take her warmup off.

Raven forces a turnover and then finds Cardoso for a transition layup. That's why everyone is so excited to see what she can do.

And Cardoso blocks a shot like she was spiking a volleyball. I've never heard a basketball make that sound before. Gamecocks lead 20-17 after 1Q.

The big lineup starts the 2Q: Raven, Rivers, Hall, Boston, Cardoso. Rivers is wearing a plastic protective mask.

Rivers, Hall, Beal (and LeLe) give the Gamecocks so much length on the perimeter, plus Raven is really aggressive, it's going to be hard for teams to get into their offense.

South Carolina takes a 34-24 lead thanks to a 6-0 run. Timeout Tigers.

Beal blocks a shot, passes ahead of the break to Raven, who whips an over-the-shoulder pass to LA for a layup. Wow! It's a 13-0 run for the Gamecocks, who are finally starting to pull away.

South Carolina finishes the half on a 20-1 run and leads 48-25. Cardoso has 12 and 7, Beal has 8 and 6, Henny has 5 assists, and Raven has 6 points and 2 assists. South Carolina has blocked 8 shots and has a 32-20 rebounding edge. Benedict shot just 24%.

Gamecocks start the 3Q with Henny, Hall, Beal, Saxton, and Boston.

The Benedict player tried to go up and under toward Cardoso's side. That is ill-advised. Gamecocks lead 61-32.

Gamecocks lead 74-34 after 3Q. Rivers finally gets a three to fall. Her form on her jump shot reminds me of another skinny college player from Wilmington.

Raven whips a one-handed pass to a cutting Rivers for a layup. Four years of that.

It's Wesolek and Liv Time. They need an NIL deal that represents "Game Over."

Gamecocks win 98-41. Cardoso had 18 points and 13 rebounds.
