We sell early playing time and attract a lot of kids who are less confident in their ability start @ UGA, Bama, Aub, CU, etc. Try selling that to real difference makers who know they will play. That sell short approach automatically limits our appeal. We sell playing time instead of an exciting brand of football. We sell a bunch of different dumbass uniform combinations that change every single week because just like our offense, this program has zero identity. We make sure we look different every week. Never mind the fact that our stale offense isn't attracting the type of talent we need to stay ahead of the curve.

From the day they hired Chad Morris, CU has been selling an offensive system that actually appeals to elite athletes who are talented enough to not worry about playing time. They've had a system that those kids can get excited about. They've also taken a professional approach to selling their brand instead of allowing 18-21 yr old student athletes to determine their image on national television. They keep it simple & consistent and attract kids who care about winning football games more than what they look like in the 12th different uniform combo of the year. They roll out with the same orange helmet & same orange jersey for every single home game. They set aside one game a yr vs an FCS opponent, to have some fun w an alternative look.

They weren't powerhouse program before they started selling a good system. They weren't a sleeping giant program before they started acting like one. They started by saying this is who we are & you can come put on our uniform & be a standout by playing for innovative coaches in a dynamic offensive system. They didn't start by signing top OL or DL talent. They started with athletes & it worked bc of an offensive coaching staff that utilized talent. We offer a chance to run your own little fashion show every week & playing time in an offensive system that's guaranteed to frustrate guys for 3-4 yrs.

As long as we aren't willing to offer real value with a progressive scheme, we'll play 2nd fiddle in SC & stay mediocre in the SEC. We'll continue with an image that changes every week because fashion is more attractive to middle tier talent. We settle for selling perks when we should be selling a more exciting brand of football like they did in the upstate 7 years ago.

It's that time of year again. Can't help but be frustrated as hell over what they've become up there.
