We still have 23 of the last 32 . . . not too shabby *

Agree, and they can never recover from Omaha in 2010. They were in the winner's bracket and poised to play for the national championship until we showed up from the loser's bracket and personally escorted them from the tourney, then took their spot in the championship series and won it all with an exhausted pitching staff. I don't believe they'll ever recover from those emotional scars.

Nah...at least we were alive during the season we won our championships. Very few tater fans of today were alive when they bought their football trophy.

Possibly the most hypocritical thing I've ever seen. You all like to make fun of tiger fans about "living in the past" bring up history blah blah blah. You lose and what's the first thing you do..... It's absolutely no different than me saying we've won 171 of the last 307 not too shabby (we still have almost a 40 game lead in the overal series) Now I know yall have dominated us recently and 2010 was one of the more depressing things I've delt with as a clemson fan, but I'm just trying to make a point.

We won. We pitched our way out of jams. Came up with big hits. And yes got some lucky breaks. But thats baseball and remember, there's no crying in baseball.

As far as the rest of the series goes I think today is a must win for us. I don't think we can beat yall in Columbia.

Tiger, maybe in fewer words, that's what I said in an earlier post titled. "They kicked our tails tonight, but it's only one loss." You guys outplayed us in every phase, and hopefully we can even it up today. If a few of us are bringing up the 2010 season, it's for the benefit of the doom and gloomers on this board who want to give up after one loss, not to rub it in on Clemson fans. Of course if it does get under you guys skin, that's icing on the cake. Don't act like there's no hypocrisy going on over on Taternet right now, where all of a sudden, baseball matters again.

I don't know if I'd say that. I think both our schools have a strong following for college baseball so I wouldn't say anyone ever thought baseball didnt matter. Losing the baseball series definitely doesn't upset me like losing in football and I would say its like that for just about everyone but I don't think that means it doesn't matter, it's just football is the creme de la creme of college athletics. And if we happen to win this series, I won't be nearly as happy as I was when we ended that God for saken 5 game skid in football. Now don't get me wrong I like beating yall in anything whether it be football or our chess teams and vice versa I don't like losing to yall in anything, but there's a certain investment I have in football not matched by other sports and I think it's true for most fans of both schools.

The real hypocrites on tigernet are the ones that gave up on the team and said we were awful and jack needed to go (I want get started on jack I'm not his biggest supporter) after we lost our opening series, and now they think we have a good team and jack is a hall of fame coach again, but if we lose these next two they will want him gone and say we will finish in the bottom of the ACC once league play starts. But I guess every fan base have those kind of fans. Judging a baseball team this early in the season is really impossible to do especially teams with so many young players.

These next two games will be fun they always seems to be full of suspense. I really think the one today will decide the series. I don't think we have the pitching depth to win tomorrow plus it's in cola. Our bats have been hot hopefully they can stay that way.

Appreciate the thoughtful and rational comments. It would be nice to see a little more of that on both boards. Maybe we can continue the discussion in Omaha.

Tiger, you seem like a nice enough guy but the thing we Gamecocks dislike the most about your baseball program is the asshole of a coach you have, Jack Leggett.

Fair and balanced critique. You own us,but that was before the 90s.) Oddly enough, that coincides with us joining the SEC.
That being said,Crownover is a STUD.

I think he's a moron. The amount of local talent he's choosen to ignore for Yankees from the north east infuriates me. I mean hell, I went to riverside. I had to watch a guy I graduated high school with have possibly to greatest CWS career for my rival college. And Scott Wingo, he's dad was a great player for clemson. It's just ignorant. But I digress, I could ramble about the things I hate about JL all night. I wish we had Tim Corbin leading our team, he's done a great job at vandy since leaving clemson
