One of South Carolina's JUCO targets for early signing day has been Itawamba (Mississippi) product Qua Davis.
He's been very quiet in the last few days, which has left us here at GamecockCentral.com without a firm indication of his plans for today - if any. Davis is a projected January enrollee and has said in the past he wanted to go ahead and announce his choice/sign this week.
South Carolina and FSU have been the two biggest players involved. I spoke with Davis' junior college coach on Tuesday night, but he did not have any information as to when Davis would decide, or which program may be the front runner.
This morning, we picked up some indications that Ole Miss is making a late run at Davis.
Not only did Davis play JUCO ball last season at Itawamba, he also is from the state and played high school football at Biggersville in Mississippi.
