Every single dollar is critical. I’m also freaking out over 44K….. which is more than many folks annual income.
Aren't there now issues with those job numbers? There was the very large reduction (800k jobs) in the estimates at one point, and now the group that puts out those numbers is fighting against allowing DOGE access.
It's speculation at this point, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the job numbers from the last few years come under heavy scrutiny soon, and start to be revised again.
It's laughable to try and claim it's only 44K. That sort of nonsense isn't being offered in good faith.

It appears though that the Murdoch outfit is impressed. Yes, there are those fighting Musk when they believe he is violating the law..
