In traditional Christianity, pastors who are divorced are not to be considered pastors. I know of 2 high profile South Carolina pastors that lost their pastoral role because of divorces. (There are many more less high profile ones).

Some kids have claimed to change genders because of a fad. No doubt. Those that do usually go through it in a few months and move on to something else. That's not that unusual. We've seen girls in schools claiming to be gay for years and that mostly seems to have been a fad that resolved itself in short order.

Their parents (not random adults) should encourage any child or teen to be patient and not make rash decisions over any feelings or thoughts, including this one. However, given how many adults insult, and demean actual trans people, most kids/teens/adults that have gender dysphoria or live their life as a trans person aren't doing it because of a fad.

No one lives their life for years and years, risks alienating family members, or ruining their prospects for a job for nothing but a passing fad.
