Throwing a back-shoulder was actually a low risk. If it was lofted and incomplete, it would've run the clock out, but it was zipped. Worked perfectly.
My thoughts exactly! Great call by Carroll I thought. 6 seconds is plenty time to tun the back shoulder. Had it been incomplete tere would have been 1-2 seconds left to kick it.
I guess i dont know the game of football as well as i thought i did. Good thing I'm not a coach..
At the time, points looked to be at more of a premium. Had they come away with nothing it would have been a huge deal.
I was looking at this as coming away with points since they got the ball back at the 2nd half. The play call was right, it was just a gamble if the play didn't go right like if wilson was chased and drained more clock or an INT. But it paid off, all good. I guess I need to be more thorough with my posts, because I do a good job at making myself look dumb.

This. Time comes off the clock. Sure, they get half the distance, but it doesn't matter. Seattle would have to kick.
