What are your favorite family or non- family Christmas traditions?

Open up one present Christmas Eve, open up the other presents in the morning Christmas Day with a big homemade breakfast. That’s about it. Lol

I love a great Christmas Breakfast. We always eat breakfast after we have opened all of our gifts. When we were newly weds we always opened one present on Christmas Eve but we don't do that now.

Christmas Night at my dad’s

we used to go to Grenville to see the grandparents

now we cook the roastbeast Christmas morning for our family and adopted family, good wine & then the whiskey flows into a party that’s nearly 50 years in tradition

A few years ago we started a ‘tradition’ of going to Waffle House on Christmas morning instead of making breakfast ourselves. Pretty silly but we really enjoy it!
Nothing wrong with that. Hence, that's why it's called a Christmas tradition.

Mine is opening up my presents on Christmas morning. LOL! I'm still like a kid when it comes to Christmas.

EDIT: I also like to get up early on Christmas Eve and eat breakfast and then get out into the main stream of shoppers. It just makes it seem like Christmas. Christmas Eve is even more exciting to me than Christmas Day in a way. Because while I do love to open my presents on Christmas morning, it's the anticipation of what you think you are getting on Christmas Eve that makes it so stimulating.
I don't share your politics but enjoy your posts. I remember the early years of mine being poor getting one or two little gifts and enjoying them. Dad died when I was 11 and it was tough.

I wanted to adopt an elderly person this year on a giving tree that was near my girlfriend's house. I am so blessed. They wanted things like tshirts and blankets and toiletries and socks so I made her grab the entire damn tree. It wasn't cheap but boy did it feel good. We all are here for a finite time. Make the earth better. Hell, I helped a Vietnamese dude change his sister's tire last night as my food got cold. He didn't have a hydraulic or a 4way. Because you do what you do.
Merry Christmas to all you guys and girls.

Almost the same, and breakfast always includes bbq with vinegar-based sauce in memory of my father who died more than 20 years ago...

Sir, regardless of your politics you are a good person to the elderly and others than others would not help. God Bless and a very Merry Christmas to you and yours.

After my children have Christmas morning with their children in their own homes, the entire immediate family loads up on Christmas afternoon and heads to the beach for three days. I rent something nice that's big enough for all of us. It has become a tradition and we all look forward to it. Aside from the personal gifts that my wife and I give to each of them, this is our gift to all of them.

Boy, that's a nice gift.
