I grew up in MB area so played a ton there. I loved Caledonia because it was a beautiful course. Blackmore was fun and I did my best on that course. Barefoot courses were fun as well. I would have to say my absolute least favorite course I have ever played has to be here in midlands area. It is Mid Carolina on way to Newberry. The course is ok but I have had 3 different times playing there and run into the rudest people ever on a golf course. Several nice people but those few times were enough to tell me I dont enjoy going there at all.
My favorite hole i have played is Waterloo at the Dunes Club. Super hard but fun. I birdied it the first time I played it by luck but never did much better than double bogie after that.

Pebble once- believe the hype. it was awesome. We had a sunny- no wind day as well, which I understand is rare.

Truckee CA has some of my favorite courses that I get to play a few times a year tho. Plus the casinos are close LOL

I played Harding Park several times and didn't think much of it. Also played Olympic Club in San Francisco where they had the Us Open in 2012. Very difficult track.

Played PGA West in La Quinta- tough but beautiful.

The Ocean Course whipped my butt.Playing it once was enough...Harbor Town was much more fun.
The Ocean Course is a beast. I played it back when I was a +2 and was lucky to break 80. Had to crunch my drives just to get them to the fairway. It was really beautiful though.

Balcomie Links- Crail Golf in Fife Scotland.

The country club at Muirfield in Dublin, OH

The Golf Club of Houston- tournament course

Ocean Course Kiawha, Harbour Town, The Dunes, Calrossie, Pebble, Old Course St Andrews, Carnoustie, multiple The Cliffs courses

I lived in Pawleys for 17 years. I got to play Caledonia before it was open to the public. I've played True Blue, The Heritage Club, Willbrook Plantation, The Reserve and several in the MB area. Caledonia is one of the best around. I also like The Surf Club and Tidewater.

My favorite would be Forest Hills in Augusta. Its lost some of its mystique over the years but still a great lay out. Bobby Jones began his grand slam there in 1930. Home of the Augusta University Jaguars.

I'd also list Thornblade, Turtle Point, The Ocean Course, Kings North, MB National, True Blue, Black Mountain Municipal, Etowah Valley, Stone Bridge and River Oaks as personal favorites.

Do they have gold tees for gentlemen? How about ladies' tees. Cuz that's the only way they would get my $200. LoL

Yeah, lol..........for a kid learning to play it was a layout that shamed Coldstream, Sedgewood and whatever other public course was around then. It certainly cannot compete today, but it was fun.

Pebble for me. Absolutely incredible. Mayakoba here in Cancun is a super layout and relatively inexpensive. I have volunteered to work the PGA tournament in December.
I went to the US Open at Pebble last year and it's now on my bucket list. I told myself I would never pay $500+ for golf but quickly changed my mind once I was there.

My list is short. But I like Forest Hills also. Similar to the National in that there isnt much trouble under those big pines. And the history of it. 18 is a drivable par 4.

Played Forest Hills and many occasions back in Dental School. It’s one of those sneaky hard old golf courses.

All three nines at Champion's Retreat near Augusta, where the ANWA plays its opening two rounds. Nicklaus, Player, and Palmer, each designed nine holes there. Plenty of variety and all the challenge you could want, plus a great staff and food. Lodging available on the premises and it is first class.

Plantation Course at Kapalua, Hawaii. My wife and I played it on Thanksgiving Day 2001. The course was limited to 100 foursomes a day as they were preparing for the tournament in January and was beautiful. The scenery was dynamic also.

Since the thread is about your favorite course then I will say my home course, Cateechee in Hartwell. In Myrtle we love to play Arcadian Shores, It is a solid old course and they treat you right. We loved Heritage but the POP has gotten horrible. Played Ocean Course, no thanks, out of my league.

I am hack so my favorites are any i score around 90.

But, loved playing Patriots Point in Charleston. My favorite all time is the Ocean Course at Kiawah.

Pebble Beach the best
Lake City C.C. worst.
Honorable mention
Pinehurst best
Topsail Greens C.C. worst

My favorite course in S.C. is World Tour in Myrtle Beach. It has replicas of the most famous holes on tour. It's an awesome concept and very fun.

Sneaky hard, that's accurate. Especially when the greens are slick. However, the ambiance just gives a comfortable feeling. Almost calming.

I played Patriots a couple of weeks ago when I was in town. I was really shocked and disappointed in the conditions. It was much better 30 years ago. The harbor views are all it has going for it now. Did you break 100 on the Ocean Course? I'm guessing not.....

Best - Pinehurst #2
Scenic - Cascada in Las Vegas
Historic - Palmetto in Aiken. The oldest in South Carolina
Best all Around - The Teeth of The Dog in Dominican Republic

Palmetto: I’ve walked it a few times watching my brother play some college tourneys. Always wanted to play
it. Love the par 3’s.
Would love to play Sage Valley also one day.

I can tell you have not played at a whole lot of courses. Those are 4 of the worst courses in Columbia. Try Cobblestone or play with a member at Columbia for some great course
Grew up about 5 minutes from linrick and used to go play almost every day during summer vac from 13-15 years old.
Used to be about a 10 handicap then marriage and kids and haven't played in about 10 years.
Just turned 42 and would love to get back to playing but been fighting severe elbow and shoulder pain for the past 6 months!
