Who is your most and lease favorite Actor or Actress ?

As far as a versatile and talented actresses it's hard to beat Kathy Bates. I've seen her in a lot of different roles and she was excellent in all of them.
Which reminds me, have you seen the Castle Rock series on Hulu? It's fantastic. She's not in it. But there's some backstory for Misery.

I tell ya another one is Timothy Olyphant . He seems to kinda play the same character in every show but I love pretty much every show he’s in . “Justified” and “Deadwood” were two of my all time favorites. Speaking of Justified another great under the radar actor is Walton Goggins . Anybody that can go from playing a badass hillbilly gangster to a transvestite hooker (Venus on Sons of Anarchy) is a pretty versatile actor .
Olyphant was also in the last season of Fargo. He played a Mormon US marshall. Not exactly a stretch for him but it was set in the early 50's.

LOL. I said Jonah Hill. He and Rogen are basically interchangeable like the way Kevin Costner and Dennis Quaid are interchangeable, though I don't consider Quaid and Costner two bad actors. My daughter calls them the "sad dad" actors.
To be fair, he was good in Money Ball. But that was just a good film period. Didn't realize until I rewatched the film that Chris Pratt played Hatteberg, the catcher turned first baseman.

Duvall and Eastwood (minus the 2 monkey movies) and Hackman and DayLewis are my favorites. Also like Randy Quaid (Missouri Breaks and Lampoon) and Morgan Freeman and Bruce Dern. Loved Angie Dickinson and Diane Lane.

Too many least favorite to name. Cruise is not Jack Reacher. Not even close.

Best: Jason Bateman (just comes across funny for me)
Least: Leslie Mann (like nails on a chalkboard)

Best scenery: Lacy Chabert😍

If these folks are in a movie, I know it will be good:
John Malkovich
Edward Norton
Robert DiNero
Helena Bohnam
Frances McDormand
Holly Hunter
Laura Dern
William DeFoe
Jessee Eisenburg
Jessee Plemmons
Daniel Day-Lewis

Nick Cage can be great and can suck.

Also like Danzel, Hanks, Clooney.

No like:
Adam Sandler
Jonah Hill
Pop stars and athletes who think they can act.

Favorites. Duvall. Eastwood. Wayne. Charlize Theron. Julia Roberts.

Dogs. Jane Fonda. Streisand. Brando.

Favorite male actor: Morgan Freeman
Favorite female actor: Diane Lane

Don't really have a least favorite....I like actors depending on the roles they are in. Sometimes they are really good in it, sometimes not so much.

Here are a couple of sleepers: Gary Oldman and Sam Rockwell
A lot of folks really don't understand the range that Gary Oldman has. This guy can be the good guy almost as well the bad guy is a film. He was just ruthless in The Professional, then turnaround and be Commissioner Gordon with ease. That man has serious range.

Like someone said about Ben Affleck, I don't see it with Julia Roberts. I actually like her brother more. Anyone seen the movie Best of the Best?

Oldman is also good in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. A lot of people don't know about this film, but it's very good.

A few more I enjoy watching. Ciarán Hinds, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, Oliver Platt and Don Cheadle.

Lot of bad posts about Jane Fonda and I agree she was totally out of line with that Vietnam stunt. Being an actor, she had to know what negative talk would derive from that BUT she was great in Klute with Donald Southerland.
Once saw her at an Oscar event when she was 70 and wearing a smoking hot see thru dress with a 20 yr old body look.

Favorite- Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone for the tie. Between the Rocky and Terminator franchises. And other movies where they nailed the role like Predator and others these guys are icons.

I can’t believe these names didn’t have any mentions. I must be among a bunch of snowflakes! Jk jk

In the books Reacher was a big boy about 6'5 i think.

It's funny how many people dislike Paltrow. My wife can't stand her either. Not my favorite, but I've never seen anything wrong with her except she could stand to eat a few cheeseburgers.

It's a crime that Duvall's character was replaced by George Hamilton in GF3. That's like going from the penthouse to the outhouse. Though I like GF3, not nearly as much as the first two, it could have been so much better. Not to mention a wooden statue could outperform Sophia Coppola. She was never an actress.

She always looks like shes smelling a foul odor or something to me lol.
I don't like Nicole Kidman either lol

Wasn't Duvall supposed to be in GF3, but something fell through? I don't remember what exactly happened. But it seems like I recall him being interviewed by Howard Stern and he said something like that. Idk if it was money, creative ideas or prior obligations that prevented it. But I could be wrong.

Pacino was set to make 4X Duvall's salary. Duvall dropped out when he couldn't negotiate a better deal. The movie suffered.
