Hopefully we’ll be competitive by then…but who tha **** makes our schedule? Look at 2025. Out out of conference: Clemson, App State, Coastal, Virginia Tech.

All 3 are top 25 caliber. Not a single week to refine stuff or take a breather.

Add Georgia, Florida, A&M, Kentucky. Mizzou guaranteed. And that’s the year Texas/OU join so we’ll get them or Bama/LSU/Auburn also. My God man Im ok w a tough schedule but those 4 non conference + SEC schedule…who did this?

Before anyone says “Good! I hate the boring games”….we need wins. That could be a 1-2 win season
I remember at least a couple of times years ago we had what was considered the toughest schedule in the country. Or at least top two or three toughest. If all these teams are as good as they are today in 25' I'd say this one will be up there too.

No excuses. Rise to the challenge!

Maybe the safer bet would be to schedule PC. They have stopped giving scholarships in Clinton and have hired a novelty act as head coach. Should be a sure win. But really? Who cares if they schedule App and Coastal? If an SEC team cannot handle either of those, it really doesn't matter

I expect this program to compete and win against that non-conference slate. If we can’t do that by 2025 start over. To me those 4 games shouldn’t scare a state university in the SEC. I expect more than what we have seen traditionally.
3-1 or 2-2 at worst. Hopefully we rise above fearing App St.

Coastal and App are gimmes. It’ll be interesting to see what direction Clemson goes bw now and then. Same for VaTech.

How they - and we - are now and how they - and we - will be then could be entirely different. Plus, contracts get cancelled. I would defer any anxiety over 2025.

If we're still worried about those teams in 2025, we should have already started over.

If we become a middle of the road SEC team, we would beat all of those teams. I’m not sure what the issue is. Get used to winning or trying out another new coach.

App St is normally good enough to be able beat most teams There is no way you ever put them on your schedule

This is correct, however history of 100 years of football at USC would say don't bet on any of those games. What's the old saying, "A leopard doesn't change his spots". It's a safe bet we will be mediocre or just above in 2025. I wish it were different, but show me the money and I will believe.

Personally I think we should drop Coastal and add Colorado, and say Virginia or similar (and keep VT), maybe Pitt, something. Like FSU used to do and actually commit to winning, and not be worried about playing directional U 4 years from now. The people I’ve physically heard say USC needs to drop to an easier conference are just sad, but I guess it proves this entire staff was a terrible choice. But anyway, the HBC will still be here in 2025 I’m certain.

When they send their trolls, they're not sending their best.

To be the best, you have to beat the best. Give me exciting matchups and a team that welcomes the challenge every time. Anytime, anywhere; and know that when you come to the Cock Pit that you're coming for war. I think some of those teams Spurrier had that.

I concur. I personally don’t give even half of a damn who we play, nor where the game is played. For our fans that travel to away games, the northeast, the midwest, the front range of Colorado, and the west coast would be nice places to visit and see. The Big 10, Big 12 and PAC teams would be a good measuring stick for the program. Right now, so would Coastal and App St. If we can’t compete with those teams in a couple of years, it’s time to cut bait and start all over. No matter the opponent, no matter the venue, win anyway!

U think they r still goin to be good...like saying we will b good by then

App State has been good for about 3 decades and not bad even before then. Played us almost every yeas in the 70’s and won once when Grantz was our QB and other games were close. They always came to Williams Brice.

Love the kickoff game in Atlanta.
I’ve asked and will ask again, as no one has answered: who is the idiot who keeps scheduling App. St.? Nothing to gain, just asking for a non-conference loss. Everyone expects you to win. Fire whoever keeps adding them please.

By 2025 there will be 12 team playoff. SOS is going to matter big time. One of those games will probably drop off to accommodate the extra SEC game

We're already planning massive tailgates and reunions for that weekend in ATL. It's going to be awesome.

I'm trying to figure out when I should try to get my tickets for that game(and where I should go for them), my son will be 6 by then so I think he'll be old enough for the wife and I to start taking him to some games.
