Why don`t we ever hear what % of people testing + for Covid-19 were wearing masks or not? Simple que

The final nail in the coffin for this administration I think will be as the kids go back to school and start getting sick or the teachers get it.i hope this doesn’t happen but we’ve been warned.

Americans are stupid, and stupidly stubborn. If nothing more, the state authorities and leaders can AT LEAST say that they TRIED - that they at least did their best to make a bovine herd mentality group of people take action to protect themselves against a killer disease.

Because as repugnant a nation of people as the USA is, if those same state leaders DID NOT DO THIS - if they just said, "the people will not want to do this - they think it inconveniences them, it makes them look weak, it takes away from their constitutional rights, blah blah blah...."

Then the day WILL COME when those SAME COW-LIKE HUMAN BEINGS will point their fingers at those leaders, and say, "THIS IS YOUR FAULT!! WE WOULD HAVE DONE WHAT YOU SAY, BUT YOU DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING!!! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!!".

Those state leaders won't be able to stop the people from dying or dealing with serious health issues from the virus, but they will be able to live out their lives saying, "hey, I tried my best to save them, but in this country, if they don't want to, you can't make them do what's right. But I tried my best to lead".....
No one is being prevented from wearing a mask.

as the kids go back to school and start getting sick or the teachers get it.i hope this doesn’t happen but we’ve been warned.

I am concerned about that, too. Covid is not the flu. There are long-term medical consequences (heart, lung, neurological and kidney) associated with Covid.

And despite all the times I've presented links and videos of the actual facts, YOU cannot present ONE SHRED of evidence that backs you up on what you just claimed, other than to clip out some small portion of an interview so that it takes out the context of what Fauci said.

Fauci said those things AT THE TIME, because AT THE TIME he said them, they were totally true. So he was RIGHT. But he ALSO said then that the situation was fluid and could chance quickly, AND HE WAS RIGHT. And when those situations changed like he said they would, so too did his statements regarding the pandemic.

Which is how the experts do the expert thing. Something Trump and dullard Trump followers cannot begin to understand. Hey, Trump also described himself as a Democrat, and as a "liberal leaning Populist". I swear, you radical progressive libs are going to turn this country into a socialist state......
You don't apologize for telling a lie when you didn't say the lie. Both he and the surgeon general said it.

You don't apologize for telling a lie when you didn't say the lie. Both he and the surgeon general said it.

Speaking of lies, do YOU ever apologize for telling them? Because, you keep on lying and lying and lying. You never bring a THING to the table of discussion on this site, but total lies. You NEVER back them up with ANYTHING that can't be immediately shot down and exposed as pure, 100% lies.

You're responding to me about a thread of debate involving Dr. Fauci advising back in March that there was no need to wear masks. I explained that BACK THEN, Fauci was correct, and he qualified what he was saying THEN, even though people who try to cast blame clumsily try to take his words out of context to support their inaccurate positions.

YOU respond that Fauci even apologized....I guess, you're saying that Fauci apologized for saying what he said about not needing to wear masks back in March?? Because, that was what I was talking about???

Fauci says he doesn't regret telling Americans not to wear masks at the beginning of the pandemic

Dr. Anthony Fauci says he doesn't regret joining other the Trump administration's other public health experts in advising Americans against wearing masks early on in the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I don't regret anything I said then because in the context of the time in which I said it, it was correct. We were told in our task force meetings that we have a serious problem with the lack of PPEs and masks for the health providers who are putting themselves in harm's way every day to take care of sick people," Fauci told O'Donnell.

When it became clear that we could get the infection could be spread by asymptomatic carriers who don't know they're infected, that made it very clear that we had to strongly recommend masks," he said.

And also, it soon became clear that we had enough protective equipment and that cloth masks and homemade masks were as good as masks that you would buy from surgical supply stores," Fauci added. "So in the context of when we were not strongly recommending it, it was the correct thing."

WOW, that is SOME "apology" Dr. Fauci gave out there. That article was 3 days ago. I STILL keep bringing factual evidence to the table, and YOU just keep on bringing them lies. Keep it up.....

I can't think of a single reasonable person who doesn't know this. The guy admitted he told people not to wear masks because they didn't want a rush on the supplies, not because they worked or not.

But you are seriously beating your head against a wall with this one. I admit, I've done it too. But it will go nowhere.

No. Sorry if the truth hurts you.

The northern colonies distrusted Great Britain and Europe, due to the British Government's unfair control and involvement in industry and commerce in the larger cities that grew up North. Taxation without representation, overruling majority votes of the people, arbitrarily and unequally showing favor for some over others.

The southern colonies never developed this kind of distrust in Europe. There were few cities in the revolutionary days in the South, and very little industry. The main economic engine in the South was agriculture - tobacco, rice, cotton, indigo, sugar - merchandise that were basic goods and required little legislation or fluctuating tarrifs. It was the same goods that went back thousands of years prior.

The northern colonies wanted to establish more control over the legislation of their government: their destinies, their future expansion, and not see the profits from their hard labor end up in other's pockets. They wanted a society of true democratic republicanism, where each citizen had a larger role in their own government.

The southern colonies were heavily influenced by the European concepts of mercantilism, and as such built their societies to mirror the European style of society. This society was an elitist-based autocracy - while there were no kings or queens in southern colonies, there definitely were little Lords and Ladies, Dukes and Duchesses, and Barons who owned the plantations and tried to live much like royalty or elite - mostly off of the backs of African slaves.

It was an ancient economic policy that began in Europe around the 15th century, and in the U.S. lasted right up into the Civil War.

So, you see the southern colonies never truly walked the same paths as the northern colonies - never TRULY believed in "all men are created equal", and never truly were willing to share equal rights and freedoms to their fellow citizens. Even the poorer white classes in the South were held down and kept under-educated, because it was feared by the more privileged few that controlled those states' governments, that too much education of the masses would cut into and diminish the manual labor for the fields and harvests, and reduce the money being poured into the pockets of those wealthy few.

It's a systemic oppression that is felt by the southern slaves states, even today.

So, it was the SOUTH that spit on the true beliefs and foundations of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution,

It was the SOUTH that spit on humanity with its institutions of slavery,

It was the SOUTH that spit into God's and Jesus Christ's faces, with it's creation of the Southern Baptist Convention in 1846 in Augusta, GA,

and it was the SOUTH that committed treason against its nation, by seceding and waging direct war against it's citizens.

If Hitler deigned to commit more atrocious actions than these, I do not know of them. And these are ALL heavily documented fact - not attempted at being hidden or secreted away by shamed co-conspirators, but proudly proclaimed as being championed, by the people at the time that committed these acts. For most of them, there are some citizens in the South who STILL are proud of them....

Present some actual evidence other than out-of-context spin-job, and perhaps I'll shut up. He's lying that Fauci apologized for lying, and I'm presenting evidence of Fauci saying that he did NOT lie, is STILL right in saying it, and he has zero regrets saying it.

They don’t give a rip what you think about it.

Why do you liberals get upset when people don't agree with you... What was "stupid" about posting a different opinion backed up by Doctors... All of you act like you are superior and right about every issue.. Y'all have been bitching and calling people liars about there being no doctors that think masks don't work.... There you go, Champ! Keep lying. Lying, lying, lying.

Doctor Anthony Fauci DID NOT tweet those words. The U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams tweeted them:

And even in Adams' message, it was again the point that buying masks for the purpose of preventing the mask-wearer from getting infected with COVID-19 was a flawed purpose that took away those masks from healthcare providers. Adams pretty much says it in his tweet.

Masks are more effective for infected people to prevent the spread of COVID-19. So again, the message in itself was NOT a lie - regardless of if it was Adams or Fauci that said it. It was more HOW the message was given: they should have put more emphasis in touting cloth masks instead of not using more professional masks, but they hadn't gotten the knowledge quite yet that asymptomatic carriers of the virus could still spread it to others.

But keep on with your lying....you do such a great job of it.....

I call only liars like you a liar.

You Continue to lie. You promised to never respond to me again weeks ago. You lied. I’m not surprised.

As I said, masks are now recommended by conservatives and liberals alike. More importantly, many businesses require them regardless of your ignorant opinions.

Just curious-do you agree with Fauci’s position in praising Governor Cuomo and New York in their coronavirus response?

I do not know exactly what Fauci said of Cuomo's handling of the COVID-19 in New York - my own position is that his decision to move infected patients into nursing homes was a mistake, and possibly added thousands of deaths to the toll that otherwise may not have needed to be added.

Beyond that, if you look at the NY data of daily cases and deaths today, it looks like a virtual mirror-reflection of most other states now - the daily numbers for NY are dwindling down to almost nothing, while other states that peaked back in April and then declined, are now setting new daily records for positive tests. So it sure looks like Cuomo and other NY authorities are doing something right.....

oh I don’t know- how about the incineration of 6 million Jews with Hitler’s final solution or is this just a close second in your mind?

That's the problem though, isn't it? Southern slave masters didn't tattoo serial numbers onto the arms of African slaves. History will never truly know just how many African slaves died on their way to America, or during their enslavement afterwards.....

I assume most of us live in this terrible Southern treasonous place. Our generation had nothing to do with slavery. I think our region of the country has become more patriotic than any other. Can others say that? People bring up the US has the only country in the world that had a slave issue. Every civilization and country had to get through it. The US is not unique. African tribes sold other tribesmen into slavery, should they take blame also? We need to move forward not simmer and stew in the past or we can't progress as non hyphenated Americans that are color blind.

I can only speak for those I know directly as I refuse to play the "I know someone who" game.

Right now one of my best friends in Charlotte has it. Wears a mask, uses hand sanitizer, only meals "out" are occasional takeaway. He is dumbfounded about where he picked it up.

My parents in Asheville are also battling it. They have stayed secluded, only going out for essentials. Mom had to make a trip to her primary care physician to get a prescription refilled (they insisted), and thinks that is where she got it. Even then she had the mask, gloves, hand sanitizer before and after.

I recall the statements from Dr Fauci and feeling guilty that I had a supply of N95 masks that were in short supply for those frontline medical workers. That was back in March and it was clear to me then that Fauci was afraid that folks would be buying them up like toilet paper.

I bought my supply months before the virus as I need them when cutting grass.

Yes, when is Joe Biden going to openly admit he has dementia? LOL!
As poignant as that is, why is it every time someone asks a question people can't answer about their candidate, it turns into "Well your guy..." Biden has nothing to do with Trump's follies any more than Trump has to do with Biden's mental decline. Fix your house, stop thinking your party's bullshit is ok because "Well, the other guy..."

trump is a Moron,

He would beg to differ. He claims & seems extremely proud he is still able to do stuff like identify a picture of an elephant & answer "very hard" questions like counting back from 100 by seven.

Is there any wonder why he's threatened to file a lawsuit against both Fordham & Wharton if they release his grades?
Does any human on the planet, even his supporters, doubt for a second that he would claim to have "aced" the exam even if he answered every damn question wrong?
Who suggested a stable genius needed to take this exam & why?

Trump and Chris Wallace Went Head to Head Over A 'Very Hard' Cognitive Test

BB16W9Ax.img
© on. But one exchange with host Chris Wallace was particularly bizarre. In it, Trump insisted that Wallace would struggle with a cognitive test, while Wallace pointed out just how easy its questions were.

Trump has made bashing Joe Biden for a supposed lack of mental sharpness one of the hallmarks of his re-election campaign. But during their interview, Wallace pointed out that polling has found that Americans are more confident of Biden's competency than they are of Trump's.

"I’ll tell you what, let’s take a test," Trump replied. "Let’s go down, Joe and I will take a test. Let him take the same test that I took.

During an interview with Sean Hannity last week, Trump claimed to have "aced" a cognitive exam he'd taken at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Wallace told the president that he had also taken the same exam, and said that it wasn't all that challenging.

They have a picture and it says ‘What’s that?'" said Wallace, "and it’s an elephant."

"Yes, the first few questions are easy, but I’ll bet you couldn’t even answer the last five questions," Trump said. "I’ll bet you couldn’t. They get very hard, the last five questions."

"Well, one of them was count back from one hundred by seven," replied Wallace. "Ninety-three."

So, why does anyone think a national or state mandate to wear masks will work anywhere?

I did not say masks are no good but am saying that mandating masks has not worked.
It won't work because we have too many people who are stubborn and think the Government are trying to tell them what to do.

Adams was right about the mask... It doesn't help...

But, if you're talking about the N95 mask, that's different... Those are for the healthcare workers and there is a reason why they call it N95.. It helps protect you 95% of the germs and viruses...
