With his connections, you think he would be a huge asset to finding the next guy. Holtz basically convinced SOS to come in the first place. Maybe he can pick up the phone and call his buddy Jon Gruden. One in a thousand shot, but worth a try.

His connections got us John Hunt and Hoke and all the rest of the crap we have on staff currently. The last thing I want are his connections. Let him drink beer and play golf and tour college campuses for a few months.

When questioned at his resignation, SOS stated that he would not be involved in the search for a new coach.

Well, we are told that he is still "coming in to work everyday" , for whatever the hell that means.

It means our Baseball team will continue to suck, because our "AD" is dicking this thing up epically.

Who's to say he's not? This has Spurrier written all over it. We did the exact same thing with Hoke. We waited until the last minute, while other teams snatched up pretty decent defensive coaches and the result was hiring Hoke when no one else in the NFL wanted him. Spurrier's MO at USC was underwhelming hires. Nothing saying he's not involved with this.

Steve Spurrier needs to stay away from the situations much as is possible.

Spurrier said he wasn't interested in a coaching search.

Anyone that believes that Spurrier would be interested in such is smoking something nasty.

Spurrier put his son in charge of our recruiting, one of the worst decisions possible.

I don't want him anywhere near my campus.

That means coming in to use our weight room.

That may have been the extent of him "coming in to work" for the majority of 2015 though.

Ha ha.. This is a great bait post.. It should pull all the fgf bashers out..

Let Spurrier retire. We should have e a retirement party and fold up his banner real nice and put it in a shadow box and give it to him

Do you mean the same way he recruited players??

What could he say to the Candidates if they asked "why did you resign/quit" ?
