This program is underneath the dumpster. Pay up hire a good coach and start over. Maneri isn’t the answer, time to admit he was a bad hire.

I feel like we have been chasing our tail here. But on the flip side we have a young coach taking over a squandering softball program and instantly producing a top 10 team out of the best softball conference in the country. Go figure
We have whiffed on every baseball coach hire since Ray left to be AD.
This program being a "Dumpster Fire" would almost be normal for a SC program, HOWEVER, This program won back to back national Titles and was almost in the "DYNASTY" conversation, now this "TEAM" (i use that term lightly) will be, like the Basketball program, LAST in SEC.. They very well may not win an SEC series, It definitely doesnt get any easier..
Mainieri has an impressive record, it's his first year and he's playing with Kingston's boys, how in the world can people say he can't coach.
This team can’t hit a freaking beach ball. Very, very bad players.
You can hire a guy who is a really good coach but that doesn't guarantee success. At his age is he ready to do a complete rebuild almost from scratch?? How many guys on our team would start at other SEC schools right now??
How many Times has this team had Players on Third with less than ONE OUT and didnt score ( at least many with Bases loaded no out)?? You have to attribute that to coaching. A good coach should be able to somehow scratch , claw, or fight that runner home!!
Or throw a Golf Ball past a Batter. They make up for the lack of hitting with Terrible pitching and Defense!!
It's been a rough 2025 for Men's Sports. I hope it doesn't spill over into Football.
It is actual getting Comical. Go into bottom of 9th with 5 run lead, lose by 3!! Miserable coach that can’t win with a 12-2 lead going into bottom of 6.
Idk if he is or not but to call for his firing in the middle of year 1 is ridiculous.
WRONG, This season is OVER, FIRE him. Not sure if "Every team" makes teh SEC tourney, if not, this team WILL NOT make it!!
The season was over no matter who had come in to coach, Kingston completely ran the program down, even further than Holbrook. They have no relief pitchers, how is that Mainieri's fault? Who is gonna come coach here if you fire coaches after one year, or in the middle of the year?
But Kingston would have gotten punked with this team, Tanner was unable to the program declining ubtil it was too late.
Like I said Earlier, I think I could win a Game leading 12-2 or Up 5 going into bottom of Ninth!! This is just ONE Example..
There is something to be said for that. I dont watch a lot of MLB but I've seen a lot of you tube videos lately where guys are having a tough time hitting pitchers who aren't pitchers. The non-pitchers stats are surprising good on the mound. So much so that I have heard something about them trying to make it illegal to pitch a non-pitcher. Kinda funny
