7 and no one is standing? It's like a George Jones concert in there with all the old timers warming their azzes.
Totally agree. I was with the band tonight, but you bet your sweet @** I would've been there one way or another. I realize it's midterms, but it's #18 here for the last home game at a good time. Our students have a ton to learn about being a good basketball student section.Originally posted by 4thgengamecock:
I was there, and the place was losing its mind about until we got up by 11. After that, the game slowed down and the crowd started to go to sleep.
Feel free to pin it on the students if you like. Outside of the usual handful of people, no one was much interested if we weren't scoring. A disgraceful display.
Agreed. Thing is, it didn't used to be like that. I personally blame Horn. My freshman year they hyped up the first SEC home game against Vandy. There was a massive crowd of students on hand to see us trail 22-12 at the half (yeah, you read that right). After that, everyone got up and left, utterly disgusted and bored out of their minds. And thus was an entire class turned off to basketball forever.Originally posted by SteelSpur106:

Yeah man, I sat (stood) beside you for the UK upset game last year and the UT women's game this one. Thanks for being such a loyal fan, people definitely do noticeOriginally posted by 4thgengamecock:

By the way, I'm the kid with the Garnet Army shirt who always sits in Section 113, Row 5, and stomps and yells all the time. This was my last home game, too, so you won't be likely to see me again.
You don't say? Now that's a freaky coincidence right there.Originally posted by SteelSpur106:

Fun fact: You can hear us start the "Sit down, shut up" chant on ESPN after Coach Cal complained about the bench tech. Good timesOriginally posted by 4thgengamecock:

I remember the year before I started, you could hear the place chanting "Cal's a cheater." They beat the hell out of us that year.Originally posted by SteelSpur106:

I was thinking the same thing...Originally posted by COCK of the WALK...:
Probably stunned just like the possum fans that he showed up
So when the post was written, we had almost 8 mins on the clock. What is the excuse when up by 11 with 8 mins to go? We hadn't choked yet.
