The star gazers won’t get excited about Zavier. Don’t let the lack of stars fool you, this kid is a football player. I’ve watched him twice, and there are a few things that stick out. First, his route running is really, really good. He doesn’t round off patters, and can stop on a dime. I’m not sure I believe the 4.45 time that has been posted, but he can create space without being faster than everyone else. Second, he doesn’t drop balls….ever. Some of the catches he makes are crazy athletic. Third, he isn’t afraid of contact and stays on his feet fighting for yards. Once he has the ball, he turns into a running back.
I don’t know how good he’ll be at this level, but he’s a hard-nosed kid. I don’t think he’ll get out-worked.
