Yes, we're already out the other side and into 2020 here in Taipei. Let me wish you all the very happiest of New Year's. May 2020 be a time of great peace, health and prosperity for all my Gamecock bothers and sisters.
We did the champagne thing last evening while watching Taipei 101, one of the tallest building in the world, go through it's amazing light up in the countdown to 12:00. At the stroke of midnight, the building, which is rigged with an astounding amount of fireworks, starts going off like a roman candle. It's a helluva sight. Here's a shot of it (borrowed, as we weren't that close this year):
Now it's morning, we've had our coffee, and have started the year off right (nods to @shmitty )
