That is not socialism. Those programs are known as the fundamentals of Classical Liberalism. Classical Liberalism is an economic framework actually described by Adam Smith, who is the father of Capitalism. It does not contain any of the fundamentals of socialism, which is taking from one group of people to give directly to another group of people. Socialism is a direct transfer of wealth whereas Classical Liberalism takes from everyone to provide the safety
and security needs equally for all.

If someone has to hire a new football, basketball or baseball coach in the next several years (hopefully they are successful), it clearly shouldn't be Ray. We're on our third football coach (one retired), second basketball coach and third baseball coach since he became AD.

I am not 100% sure i know what I think about this. As much as i too wanted him gone on Occasion, I actually liked the guy!

Generally, I not a pessimist. But I tend to be one on this election. As are most Americans.

If Trump is elected, our country will suffer. If Harris is elected, our country will suffer. Get ready to suffer. It is remarkable that a nation as historically well off as ours cannot find better candidates. Has the media discouraged all candidates that have a brain and a heart for the nation? What righteous person would want to be president in this environment? None. Only those addicted to power. Lincoln (I believe) said “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely” or something like that.

The historians tell us the average lifespan of a nation is 200 years. As a nation, we are living on borrowed time, and probably in the 4th quarter.

There were definitely times I'd wished Tanner would get out of dodge, there were just as many times I was glad we have him. So many people put so much stock in the football and basketball programs but in retrospect, how many of our ADs had great programs. He Is a great ambassador for the school, and I wish him great success in his new role. Now let's only hope we get a great AD to take his place.
