The problem with that is the Dems won't agree to just cutting spending. Do both cutting spending and raising revenue,,,,then you're talking.

I'm with you. I understand people disagree on which generates more revenue. Raising taxes, or lowering taxes to supposedly stimulate a better economy.

I'm going with the idea that we should all agree that we need to cut spending.

If our government cut every single penny of discretionary spending today, it would still not be enough to cover the debt service alone on $35 trillion.

Meaning, we're officially screwed unless we can a plan for dramatically raising GDP and/or a novel investment strategy.

One side has laid out this plan in great detail and is literally showing it's hand to American on how someone in any tax bracket can catch the magic carpet ride -- BTC and AI.

The other side wants to tax more and take hold of your bank accounts via CBDCs. This includes an unrealized gains tax which is insane.

If you're making under $400K and don't believe letting this corrupt genie out of the bottle won't eventually impact you - you might want to brush up on history. It's first implemented to the "rich" and then it makes it's way to your doorstep in no time.

The estate tax hasn't trickled down to people with an estate smaller than 13 million so maybe you're being disingenous?

Stock - Can you provide any reasons why you're for Harris from an economic and foreign policy standpoint?

Also please explain your stance on things like immigration and the Ukraine War.
LOL Oh no, no, no Ward. I, for one, won't get suckered and bogged down into talking about all such issues. It could have all to do about Harris or not. It could just all have to do about Trump or not. Or, it could be a combination of both. I will just chime in whenever I feel like it on whatever you all are talking about. Carry on. LOL

(NOTE: it's not easy responding from your phone; was at Staples getting a new laptop set up).

If you don't believe an economy can be turned around in 6-12 months, you're trolling again or profoundly uninformed.

For reference, please note even extreme examples like Argentina and El Salvador of recent. They got rid of longstanding progressive economic policies and both of their countries have done a 180.

You constantly fall for this disinformation. It's sad and unfortunate for the rest of us.

Haha. So Obama was responsible for Trump's era even though he had 8 years and policy was completely opposite? How does that work exactly?

I think only a fool would think Trump's policies made a drastic change to the economy in a short period of time. That would mean you must believe that Biden's policies were even better than Trump's. Which I have a feeling you don't actually believe.
Are you saying you don't believe you'll be taxed more under Harris than Trump?
Considering my household income is in the 90ish percentile, I should pay more.

Watson - The Democrats have held office for the last 12 of 16 years.

Trump's administration experienced the most job growth and faster wage increases, particularly for lower-income workers, before the pandemic disrupted the economy.

A reasonable person might wonder if the 8 years prior to the Trump administration had a lot to do with the economy he inherited.
Please explain to us why continuing to raise taxes on the middle, upper-middle class is a good idea?

Who is arguing to raise taxes on the middle class? That's a republican strategy. The democrats prefer to tax the wealthy.

New poll that came out this morning from Farleigh Dickinson University:

Harris 50%
Trump 43%.

I'm for Harris. Regardless I stick to what I said the other day: this race is a "coin toss". That being said, Trump definitely needs to get his act together. If he does not have a good debate against Harris ....... well, you know. And he better have a good ground game. This race will not be won by TV ads.

Beamer won't get another legitimate extension from the university. He might get an "extension" but it's in name only "to help with recruiting." It won' significantly increase salary and won't increase the buyout.

We go 6-6, it gives Beamer just enough cover to get a lame duck 5th year. But by then his chances of being successful are done. His recruiting has fallen off drastically since Aug 2023. We will lose so much on our defense to graduation/nfl that we will see a real drop off in 2025. Beamer won't survive that 2025.

A 4-8 campaign or a 5-7 where we don't look competitive in the 7 losses might get us a new coach for next year.
I want you to be right. I hope you are right.

I have already made my prediction. So, I won't repeat. Here is what I am afraid will happen if we go 6-6:

Beamer will get a 10-year extension. That's our luck. SMH. I am convinced that the boys running this university are not serious about football. I think as long as they do well in men's and women's basketball along with baseball, they are content. When the new women's softball coach was gushing about all the NIL money that will go her way to help her make our women's softball program a national power, I could not help but go, "Hmmmmmmm".

Trust me. I want to be proven wrong.

Gamecocks win total in 24

Time will SOON tell.

Speaking of wins, Steve Spurrier says he thinks Florida will win 8-10 games this season. Florida's schedule includes Florida State, Ole Miss, LSU, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Miami. Our schedule is similar.
Your comment made me think of other preseason expectations: I’m sure FSU was thinking they would contend for a national Championship.
