7 Kentucky basketball players head for NBA draft

not surprising at all. Calipari probably made them leave like the kid a couple years ago who wanted to come back. if youre trying to get an education and you have a basketball scolly, Kentucky is not the place for you.

They have 5 scholarships that they can issue out for 2015. Doesn't mean they are going to get them though...

Its called reloading time.. they will probably be picked to win it all next year.. what else is new.

Kentucky is great for college basketball....

In any sport, always makes it more interesting when other teams try to knock off the best.. See Wisconsin this yr.. UConn in 2014

This is a good example of the joke that major college

has become.

The idea that some think college players should be paid by the colleges is ridiculous.

If they are paid, should they be forced to sign a contract for four years and those who jump early be in breach of the contract and forced to pay penalties? It has to go both ways.

Good riddance! Regardless of talent, work ethic, or won-lost records, the college game is better off without some of these classless thugs who refuse to shake hands and congratulate the other team after a game. Of course, if they had a coach who actually tried to instill some life lessons and character....

You mean like Wisconsin's "classless thugs" who didn't shake hands with Duke? Oh and speaking of duke, they'll likely have 3 freshman one and dones as well... But they do the exact same thing "the right way."

They need to follow the baseball rule. Either you go pro or you are in for 3 years. The one and done is bad for college basketball and it is no way Kentucky can meet the academic requirements.

Re: This is a good example of the joke that major college

Many just want to only play basketball, the money, girls, the path to the NBA and all the other material stuff that goes along with it. An education or receiving a degree is the furthest thing from their mind because reading, studying and going to class hasn't been there desire since the 9th grade.

Funny how 7 of the top 12 recruits in their list. Kentucky will only reload.

A similar thread will appear again next year.

College athletes should be paid, but the compensation structure has to be worked out in a different fashion. The universities should not necessarily be the ones making the payments.

There has to be a way so that not all college athletes get the same pay.

Unionization is not the answer here.
