The only two things that really matter in this game is get the win and don't get hurt. Hopefully it's not so bad.
DeCamillis needs to get these guys to run up and fair catch these shorter punts instead of letting them roll for 25 yards. With this offense, field position is going to be critical.
I'm glad that was ruled a touchdown because Beville looked like he was too emotionally overwhelmed to come back in the game. lol

Yep. Rough start in the first game. But Kentucky and LSU performances were much better than expected. And with our starting QB and running back out, I'd consider Akron a better performance than expected. Similar circumstances have ended up being nailbiters or even losses in the past.
Gets much harder going forward. Gotta get healthy if we are going to get to 6 or more wins.
The guy’s got some great wheels. That TD run was really fast.
He is exacrly what you need in a backup in today's market. He has SEC experience, and can catch defenses off guard with his wheels.
His arm limits him though. We will be too one dimensional with him against serious opponents.

Went down to Gamecock Park before the game, saw the pre-game band pep rally which was great, hung out a bit. Lot of fun.
Didn't go to the game because I had a few things to do but still really enjoyed being down there.

I enjoyed being there last night. Surprised to hear it was a sellout for that game, but they did fill the stadium up.

I hate that Rocket got hurt but the Freshman, Fuller, and the sophomore, Howell, both looked good out there with Adaway and JuJu.
And getting the ball caught by 13 different receivers, 7 WR, 3TE, & 3 RB is great ball play. Also having 7 different RB get carries.
Both back up QBs looked good last night. They could be starters on other teams. Looking at the way they are playing, Auburn sure is missing having Ashford.
After the way we played LSU and the way they came out and played last night with Sellers and Rocket out, I feel really good about the Ole Miss game after a bye week. We could actually get the upset if the SEC officials let us.

I didn't go into the stadium but I hung out at Gamecock Park and was there for some of the events before the game. It was a lot of fun. My wife and I hung out with our son too.
It was pretty hot down there- upper 80s until about gametime and then it got a little better.
As I have said, I hope we can just get to any bowl game. Don't care what it the name of it is
Remember, I had us going 7-5. Now, I admittingly said my bias was involved in saying that because I badly want to see us win. However, at the very least, that was saying we have the potential. So, can we beat Ole Miss? Yes, I think we can. Their recruiting has not been head and shoulders above ours. We have an extra week to prepare (Beamer's teams have done well when they have had extra time to prepare) and, we have them at home.

How does "can" beat mean "will" beat? Does "potential" equate to "definitively"? Junior, those words mean differently in the English classes I took.
