Actually it is kind of funny. And basically two sentences he said that if anyone says fans chatting online does not affect their recruiting they would be lying... Then in the next breath he says but that's not a factor in my decision. Lol.

Honestly like I keep saying there's no way for any of us to ever know how much any of this is a factor. I just don't think it's worth the risk. It certainly doesn't serve a purpose, other than giving you a hard on I suppose.
But you do you as I'm sure you will.
I don't think his statement is as contradictory as you say.

It's not something he bases his decision on, but he's learned some things the recruiters didn't tell him and he liked all the love. I think that's literally the role. Nice cute side info and compliments, but nothing that will sway a decision.
And if voicing your opinion serves no purpose other than to "get a hard on", I guess we're all guilty of that here.

What do you expect from a "school that rubs a rock" and runs down a hill like cattle needing to be herded up.
So interesting rumor now that the SoCal QB from last year entered the portal is that Riley is trying to recruit DJ to cleave Clemson and come to SoCal. Most think it’s a ploy to get his younger brother but it will be interesting to see what happens.
Go to the Oklahoma board and you will see posts that Lincoln Riley is trying to get DJ to come home to Southern Cal to get his brother. From all indications I have seen DJ will not be at Clemson next year. The Clemson fans turned on DJ really bad this year and I have been told by several people that after tomorrow (national signing day) DJ will be going in the transfer portal. Not sure where the qb from LSU is going to end up but I have heard that he will probably go to an SEC east school. Florida and Georgia may end up with him, Either one will be an upgrade of what they have right now. The qb at Georgia will probably declare for the NFL Draft.
THIS ^^^^ is true. I don't understand why the young man chose Clemson under the current turnover circumstances with their staff, but . . . there's always the portal.
I just feel bad for Williams. Clemson/Dabo played him like a fiddle. If they had REALLY wanted him, they would have offered him early. He does not fit their receiver prototype. The only reason they offered is because they missed out on a couple of their targets and they didn't want Williams going to Carolina.
It'll come across as defending clemson, but I would say all schools have priority and back up targets, conditional offers, etc.
He could end up making a great choice or could end up a Shaq Roland 2.0. Only time will tell. Best wishes to the kid though.
