Auburn

No. You obviously missed the point. Giving up 52 points to a Finley QB’d offense was terrible. Muschamp didn’t coach us this year…but he did in 2020 against Finley and LSU.

You skip that day in comprehension, the topic was allbarn.

Really? I said he lit us up LAST year. I said Muschamp’s defense. Muschamp still coach us? Is this year last year? Maybe you just didn’t comprehend it. Don’t blame me for you comprehension issues. Finley obviously didn’t light us up this year. Maybe you should’ve paused and thought…none of this makes sense. Everyone else understood. I guess you didn’t realize Finley played for LSU?

I personally don’t really care. But good grief this is hard-headed. Topic is Auburn, but I replied to a comment about Finley being trash. Again…don’t blame me for your lack of comprehension, or general football knowledge for that matter.

Keep throwing the suds back.

Well, Ole Miss, Arkansas, and LSU couldn't beat them this year, but we did. And we beat them by more than Alabama did.

I'll take it.
They lost to a different team than we beat - the one that lost today. I'll take it also - because we didn't lose to the latter team. Both the former and latter teams carried the same recognizable name, and that is all.

That's not an excuse. All 3 had their starting QBs, all of which are way better than anybody on our roster, and still lost. We beat their backup with a FCS Catholic school QB.

And Auburn played Bama into 4 overtimes with Finley. So, again, not an excuse.

Not a quality win, either. If it wasn't cemented before, today cemented it. You can't have a quality win against a losing team.

Saban would disagree.
Not if he's as honest as I think he is. A win can be important, even vital, without being a quality win. Quality wins are gained against quality opponents. All games are important because of the consequence of losing, but not all wins are quality wins. For Saban, Auburn was a vital win; Georgia was a quality win.

It's not as simple as wins/losses either. Who you play and how well you play them also matters.

That's an underdog way of thinking. About the best thing a person can say when a team loses is that they never quit. But if they had the better players, that's still no consolation. That "how well you played while losing" thing only comes into play when you know you are inferior.

No, it's not. It's reality. Has nothing to do with how you "feel". Auburn is a good team with a lot of talent that played a really tough schedule. A close loss to #20 in a bowl game doesn't make or break them as a quality win.

Its body of work obliterates them as a respectable football team. The implications from that are self-evident.

Incredible, isn't it?

No, what is incredible is how supposed "fans" like you and others try to find any way possible to crap on our team.

Give Auburn any ACC schedule instead of their SEC West schedule, and then they suddenly, according to your logic, become a "quality" win.

Ridiculous.

And you go out of your way to make things appear better than they are. Quit acting like any of our wins were really good teams, I’m happy we beat 6 bad to mediocre teams, that’s it. When final ranking come out will we have any top 40 wins, we will see.

I have a feeling that they are having a little buyers remorse down on the plains with this new coach. Bet they wish they had kept Gus around at this point. Just isn't a good fit at Auburn. Didn't even make it one year before he had to fire his hand picked OC. Lost their best offensive threat to the portal. I could see this guy being on the hot seat, and getting run this time next year without significant improvement
