I’d say Kentucky, UGA, Clemson, A&M, Tennessee are good, with one of those being really good to great. I would say all of these teams are considered top 40 in all of football. How many good teams did we play this year?

Ok. Just wanted to know your metrics. We had 0 chance in three of those 5. We cannot compete athletically with CU, UGA, or A&M. THe other two, UK and UT we got outplayed and outcoached.I’d say Kentucky, UGA, Clemson, A&M, Tennessee are good, with one of those being really good to great. So who do you think was the best team we beat this year? What good teams do you think we played?Ok. Just wanted to know your metrics. We had 0 chance in three of those 5. We cannot compete athletically with CU, UGA, or A&M. THe other two, UK and UT we got outplayed and outcoached.
That’s fair, equally I would say we lost to two teams that are less talented that us as well, Mizzou and Kentucky. Without looking I would guess if you took the last 4-5 recruiting rankings we avg higher than both of them, just as we are lower ranked than FL and Auburn. We beat two teams that are more talented than us top to bottom. Florida and auburn. Were they “good” teams. Idk. Good is a moving target. Florida was good when it took bama to the wire and should’ve won. Auburn was too. Were they good the day they played us? Idk, I certainly enjoyed the outcome. We have a UK sized hump to get over and then we can worry about UGA and the like.
Right now Kentucky is better than we are. Have been for 7 years. Losing to Missouri is mind boggling. It shouldn’t happen. But it did. That place is a strange place to go play. Kind lulls us to sleep it seems like. That’s fair, equally I would say we lost to two teams that are less talented that us as well, Mizzou and Kentucky. They are but with less talented players too. I would bet our star rating is higher than Kentuckys averaged out the last 4-5 years. It does seem that way. Our last win there (2017) we had Deebo to wake us up with the kick return.Right now Kentucky is better than we are. Have been for 7 years. Losing to Missouri is mind boggling. They’re better. Period. They either do more with less or they evaluate better. Idk the star ratings and I’m not looking them up. But results on the field prove they’re better. They’ve walked the dog on our boys 6 out of 8 I think. They are but with less talented players too. I would bet our star rating is higher than Kentuckys averaged out the last 4-5 years. No doubting that. I won't speak for him, but this seems to fly in the face of the argument some put forth saying we need better talent in order to win. They’re better. Period. Ultimately we need both. We’ve got to have better talent. We are not up to par on the OL and we don’t have a game changer at WR. We also don’t even have a serviceable QB. We need to upgrade our Lbs which I think we have done some in this class. And we are working with sub par SEC talent at 3 of 5 DB positions. I’m also not a huge fan of the offense we currently run. I don’t like it, feels like it’s piece milled together instead of being a true system that has schemes that complement one another. Granted, to compete for the SEC, we'll need superior talent. But I maintain that having even a respectable offense would've gotten us wins over UK and Mizzou this season. Having Beamer being able to sell eight wins in his first year would've been huge.

Decidedly not - either one of them.We beat two teams that are more talented than us top to bottom. Florida and auburn. Were they “good” teams. Idk. Good is a moving target. I hope this is an example of your visceral side and not your cerebral side. You're talking about wins over two losing teams simply based on the logos on their helmets. No, what is incredible is how supposed "fans" like you and others try to find any way possible to crap on our team.
Give Auburn any ACC schedule instead of their SEC West schedule, and then they suddenly, according to your logic, become a "quality" win.
Ridiculous.
When a very very low ranked team has a win over a team that has a high winning percentage over the course of a season, it’s an upset, but also a fluke. When a very very low ranked team has a win over a team with a lower winning percentage over the course of a season, it means that opponent just isn’t very good. Regardless of the Florida or A on the helmet.I hope this is an example of your visceral side and not your cerebral side. Youre as big a loser as Watson and Deboer. Those two teams on paper are far more talented than we are.Decidedly not - either one of them.
They’re very talented. We wouldn’t have many starters from our team go and play on either of their 2 deeps. When a very very low ranked team has a win over a team that has a high winning percentage over the course of a season, it’s an upset, but also a fluke. You cannot make a final analysis until the season is over. It’s now been proven that Florida and Auburn are not very good. To be fair, I think bad coaching has played a major role in the results of both teams. More so with Auburn.
Agreed. But it goes to show that coaching matters. Knowing what personnel to play and when to play them, matters. What really matters? Wins and losses. Auburn was not a good team this year by that standard. They’re very talented. We wouldn’t have many starters from our team go and play on either of their 2 deeps.
You need to restrain yourself a little bit. Talent is beside the point I'm making. Never said anything about talent one way or the other. You are what your record says you are - and theirs is compiled. There's nothing they can do to become what they were not - good teams.Youre as big a loser as Watson and Deboer. I’m as restrained as I’m going to be. If we played those two teams 10 times how many times do you think we beat them? You need to restrain yourself a little bit. Talent is beside the point I'm making. I don't get into hypotheticals when recent realities are glaringly obvious and next year is a clean sheet.I’m as restrained as I’m going to be. If we played those two teams 10 times how many times do you think we beat them?

It’s good to be self aware ward🙄 Intransigence at its ultimate.
No. They were a talented team that lost more than half of their games. That’s not a good team. If it makes you feel better, I think many of their losses(and there were 7 of them) were due to bad coaching. They did have a tough schedule, but so what? They got hammered by Georgia and aTm. They lost to 2 unranked teams. Where do you think they should be ranked with a 6-7 record? 40ish? That’s not a good team.Auburn was a good team that played an insanely tough schedule.
Nobody outside gococks clown would say Auburn was a good team this year. He is hanging everything on that being our “quality” win this year. The fact is we will not have beaten a top 40 team for the 2021 season, no matter how much he spins it.No. They were a talented team that lost more than half of their games. That’s not a good team. Lol you’re hilarious, even die hard Auburn fans would disagree with you dolt.I bet Ole Miss, Arkansas, and LSU would say so. And they scared the shit out of Saban.
Auburn is a good team that would have been an 8 or 9 win team in any other conference.
No. Zero evidence of that....coaching would make a huge difference.I bet Ole Miss, Arkansas, and LSU would say so. And they scared the shit out of Saban.

Maybe, but the ACC is not every other conference. Frankly, the SEC wasn't as strong as many would like to believe....and from top to bottom definitely not the strongest.Replace Georgia/Bama/TAMU with an ACC schedule, and they easily get to 8 or 9 wins.

Not going to debate who would beat whom....that is simply a matter of opinion and to debate it is futile. Auburn without a doubt played some good games and I haven't argued that they are a bad team, simply disputed they'd win 8/9 games in every other conference. Granted that the last statement is definitely my opinion....completely unverifiable.Give Clemson Auburn's schedule and they could easily have ended up 6-6 or worse.
Bama would beat them.
Georgia did beat them.
TAMU would beat them.
Miss St would beat them, just like they beat NC State
That's 4 teams that almost assuredly beat Clemson.
I also think Ole Miss beats Clemson by outscoring them.
Penn St would beat them, especially in the 3rd game of the season.
I'm not saying Auburn was great, but they were a solid team that had some good wins and played well in a VERY tough schedule. Still a quality win despite the record. Terrible teams don't take Bama to 4 overtimes.
Miss State, you have passed the point of sanity. Miss State would be lucky to score 7 on Clemson. That offense lit up that tough Red Raiders D. Do you ever get tired of constantly having to make up excuses or what ifs, it should tell you clearly how far off base you are with your prognostications.Give Clemson Auburn's schedule and they could easily have ended up 6-6 or worse.

You need help, let’s see, tell me honestly how would Vegas lay the line for Clemson and miss state, please do tell so weMiss St beat NC State's ass.
How did Clemson do against NC State?
