Because they were close going into the season and Crowe pitched much better in his first two starts than Wynkoop.

This ^^^^^^^^^^
You wanna try to match ace vs ace.
Unfortunately Crowe didn't have his A stuff, and had a little bad luck.
Super proud of Wynkoop today and the way he battled.

Exactly. Wynkoop had his bad game right off the bat, Crowe had his first bad game in his first night, road start in a rivalry. I guess you can argue Crowe got put out of his comfort zone, but that is good that he does that now because it will pay off later, and I think he should still be the Friday Night guy. If you gave Wynkoop a chance to come back I think you give it to Crowe and too, and if he rises to occasion you stick with him. Also, I just think Crowe is better. He has better stuff, better ceiling yada yada... It's was always just a matter of time for him.

PS: I am not a baseball guru, I slept a Holiday Inn last night.
