Hi Guys and Gals,

Just wanted to post something sort of encouraging, well to me it is. Below are the SEC Standings as of now from top to where SC currently is:

1. Vandy: 10-2
2. Texas A&M: 9-2
T-3. Mizzou and LSU: 8-4
T-4: South Carolina and Florida: 6-6

We are 4 games back from the leader, who we play at home next weekend. We play the team we're tied with this weekend. I know, we haven't played well lately, but baseball has a way of doing that to teams. Great teams hit slumps and then bounce back. I'm hoping this team bounces back. Because, we play all of these teams in the future except Mizzou. We have a real chance to fight our way back into the SEC. I got a good feeling about the Vandy series. But....we'll see

we havent played well all season so i wouldnt consider this 'just a slump'. we've just been flat out bad all year long running the basepaths, hitting the ball, moving runners over and playing defense.

we showed a little bit of life in game 3 vs miss st but the series was already decided at that point. we do have a scheduling opportunity to quickly gain some ground but ive seen very little to indicate that we'll take a series from vandy, lsu, or a&m which means we need to absolutely win the other three series left...... fla, aub, tenn...... if we want any shot at squeezing into a regional as a 3 seed.

What's up with FL??? I will be honest that I typically only follow these teams when it gets to be post-season but I recall FL being a top program too - are they experiencing the same kind of issues we are?

uh, if Mizzou and LSU are tied for 3rd, then we are tied for 5th, duh

and 4 GB is a lot when there are only about 25 games left in the season

Then I guess giving up is the only option left

Only 18 SEC games left
