Collin Hill picked up by Cincinnati

Just proves how inept Mushhead's staff was in that they could not win with Hill. No blocking, no tackling, no catching, not really trying, bad attitudes by staff and players in some cases, etc. A Little League staff would have won more games.

Ha. Several on here were able to recognize Hill’s game as next level, most were still stuck on Hilinski. The ineptitude of last year’s staff is astonishing; like a bad dream.

Hill did work and put points on the board until the team just said eff it. Congratulations to Hill and thank you for putting up with what you had to put up with; class act.

lol, Hill’s game was anything but next level. Him getting picked up as a UDFA is not an indicator that he’s NFL talent.

I’m glad the kid is getting a shot, and the staff last year was certainly inept, but Hill was a disaster at QB for us.

You’re entitled to your opinion.

Hill’s biggest fault with our fans, and I said this during the season last year also, is that his last name is not Hilinski.

He wasn’t signed to hold for field goal practice.

Teams with injured QBs sign arms to fill out camp. He didn’t get a signing bonus so it’s likely he’s going to get 10k to be a live jugs machine. Not a bad job if you can get it.

If you think Muschamp’s operation was inept, wait til you see the Bengals. Their owner is the biggest doofus and their biggest problem.

It's a long way off, but if Collin can make the practice squad, he can make some $$.

Hill getting signed by the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent is not an indicator that he's NFL talent? 🤔

He hasn't made anything yet. It's a steep climb just to make the practice squad, even for players who were drafted late. In 2020, there were 450 UDFAs. 33 ended up making an NFL roster. In contrast, only 259 players were actually drafted this year, and not even all of those will end up making teams.

Muschamp was certainly inept, but you can't put Hill's performance entirely on him. He wasn't any good when he was at Colorado State.

And he wasn't a Gamecock. He just hitched a ride on Bobo's Uhaul for a free starting job. Bobo and Hill were a package deal.

You sure like talking sh_t about former players.

Anyone know what's up with the kid? He's the only UDFA not listed on Cincy's roster.

Good question. He’s not listed in any of the recent local articles written about the start of their rookie minicamp either. They all say they officially signed 6 guys and he isn’t on any of those lists.

I also didn’t see anything that looked like it was from the Bengals about him. Most things said his “agency” reported it.

He may be a tryout guy.

Doesn't look too good. Last I read, he was getting ready to head up to the rookie minicamp. Since then, there's been nothing.

He isn’t on their minicamp roster. They did sign another QB recently so it’s possible he couldn’t pass the physical.

I just looked at a Bengal fan site, and that is their speculation, he failed the physical, never came to camp

I'm going to declare GarnetBeamer correct in his assumption Hill is not Next Level or NFL talent like some are still holding out hope he is :)

Sure didn't look like it from what I saw, but on the positive he had a long college career, nothing wrong with not making the NFL, few do, not really a slam saying that about somebody imho.

On the Hill is next level NFL buzz before the season, I think some Eskimos got sold some Ice by 2 people whose names I forget.

Were Bobo and Troll Face Meme separated at birth?

He isn't talking sh!t. Stating the obvious, and what I assumed most casual NFL or college football fans know about UDFA players doesn't mean he isn't pulling for him. The truth is the truth.
One further...these type UDFA guys that DO make a team do so half the time because they're so cheap, and can replicate something close that the club is about to get rid of (due to being mandated to pay 3.1 million per year for it because of NFL rules). Many of you are familiar with Brad Hoover from Carolina Panthers. I know him - awesome dude, and he would tell you the same: He got his chance by filling a void on the cheap and in the mean time worked his butt off and proved that he could play at that level so they kept keeping him around.

They were looking for arms for camp until Borrows recovers from surgery. The beatings he took last year Collin wouldn’t last very long behind that porous line. They need someone extremely mobile and Mr Hill isn’t it.

There's more QB's NOT PICKED than there are QB's picked, whether its by draft or signing an UDFA contract.

People quickly forget that two of our statistically better QB's in recent years, Shaw and Thompson, both signed UDFA contracts.

Hill wasn't a bad QB, if he was he wouldn't have been offered a shot. Some of you guys need to take the blinders off.
