This may not be exactly how they are doing it but Clemson is paying players thru boosters. We know about the Church front but it’s probably a lot more sophiticated then that. It started when they were very below average one year and somehow landed 3 5* players from Florida. Programs who are successful in a given year would struggle to land that type of talent unless your football royalty. I knew at that moment what they were doing. Dabo probably caved at some point because the pressure of winning is intense and if he wanted a job he did what he felt he had to do.

NCAA cares mostly about fat Tv contracts. They only investigate when they absolutely have to. When they do put a program on probation the penalty is much lighter than it was before the mega $$ Tv contracts.

No major program is white glove clean, but clemson is doing it on a much greater scale.
