Dawn being Dawn at ESPYs

Or, some Republican Senators might eventually feel more able to ignore him if Trump becomes more unhinged as President because he's a lame duck, especially some that are facing tougher races in 2026 and might privately decide they aren't going to run again.

It's not so much the senate and congress that we should worry about. It's the people in his own administration. Last time he wanted to use paratroopers to shoot protestors and the military just ignored him. He wanted to go after Hillary Clinton and the DOJ just told him no.

A lot of those key leaders are gone now and Trump is going to replace them with yes men.
In some ways, Trump was lucky in his first term that he was able to escape any MAJOR world tough disasters (until Covid). We saw what happen when COVID came along. It threw a wrench into everything.

Indeed. Trump inherited a good economy and it was relatively without major strife during his first three years. This tenure could be a lot different. The economy is still recovering and on an edge. His tariffs could push it off that edge. He also could just ride the rebound.

Last time he got to negotiate with the Taliban and left the actual withdrawal to Biden. This time he's going to have to pull Soldiers out of Iraq and Syria. He's got the war in the Ukraine to deal with. He's going to also have the Israel/Palestine/Lebanon conflict and Iran lurking in Syria and Iraq.

He could get lucky again, but thinks are looking much more difficult this time around. As you said, we saw with Covid how the hard part of the job went for him.

This country was founded on the concept that all men are created equal. But now we have people arguing politicians should be able to be break the law and not be held accountable.

Crazy times.

That's exactly what the DOJ did with Hillary and Biden with their classified document cases.

WHY TRUMP WON

While the legacy media has a meltdown searching for hitherto undiagnosed psychoses in the electorate to explain its embrace of a Hitlerian strongman, the truth is much simpler than their fictions.

This election is a reminder that after all the manufactured drama and overheated rhetoric, politics is still about issues. Whether you agreed with him or not, Trump ran a substantive campaign based on issues like the border, inflation, crime, and war.

Harris ran on vibes, celebrity endorsements, name-calling (“convicted felon”, “fascist”), debunked hoaxes (“very fine people”), and platitudes (“democracy”). She would neither defend the Biden-Harris record nor say what she would do differently. When she did talk about specific issues, they were often stolen from Trump (child tax credit; no tax on tips; border funding).

On the one issue where Democrats had an advantage, abortion, Trump deftly got ahead of the issue by rejecting a national ban and removing problematic language from the GOP platform. Harris wore out the issue by blatantly lying about Trump’s position and by exhibiting her own party’s extremism (nobody needed to see an abortion truck at the DNC).

While Trump expanded his coalition with MAHA (health) and DOGE (government efficiency), Harris concluded her ersatz campaign by going all in on demonizing her opponent, pretending Madison Square Garden was a Nazi convention.

The fact that voters saw through it should be reassuring, even if you don’t agree with the result. Voters want to know how a candidate will give them a better life and, increasingly, they have learned to tune out the rest as noise.

While the legacy media creates excuses and impugns the motives of voters to explain why Trump won, the reason is simple: Trump is the candidate who spoke to voters’ concerns directly.

This insanity is finally coming to an end for minors.

The medical community can't even figure out how to treat Menopause and they want to change the gender of children?

What a psyops.

In fairness. the Republican House and Senate led committees investigated both and even some of their own members said they didn't find any smoking guns rising to that level. Both were investigated for over 2 years.

I think we can stop talking about Hillary at this point. If she broke the law enough to rise to a felony, I don't know why in the world the Republicans on those committees would hide it.

"OUR CAMPAIGN ISN'T ABOUT HATE!!"

Day 1: Let's take away rights from people we hate...

Nope. Transition hormone therapy and surgery has been a disaster over time for most.

Even the AAP has denounced it. But you didn't see that because you were too busy virtue signaling.

If adults want to play Russian Roulette with their bodies, they still have full access.

Protect kids. They shouldn't be subject to these types of experiments.

It's OK to be gay or bi and also like your body -- just like it was for the past 50 years.

Yeah, it’s easy to “win” when your questions are pre-determined and you have your ear-piece in to guide you to answers.

I don't think Trump's closest advisors think that is remotely true. It's a really stupid lie.

The questions might have been predictable or lousy, but extraordinary claims required actual, specific evidence.

Is it Information Flow or rooted in Neurobiology?

------------------------

Individuals who tend to favor authority and may struggle with critical thinking often show specific patterns in brain function, neurochemistry, and cognitive processes. Here are the neurobiological qualities associated with this mindset:

Reduced Activity in the Prefrontal Cortex (PFC):
Lower activity or development in the PFC, especially the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, can lead to diminished executive function, making it harder for people to evaluate information critically and resist impulsive responses. This can make them more inclined to trust authority figures, as the complex reasoning required for independent thought is less robust.

Heightened Amygdala Reactivity: Individuals with a more reactive amygdala are often more sensitive to fear and anxiety, especially in uncertain or complex situations. This heightened emotional response can make them seek safety and reassurance from authority figures rather than questioning or analyzing the information critically. A reactive amygdala can drive people toward choices that feel safe and familiar, often aligning with established authority or group norms.

Lower Anterior Cingulate Cortex (ACC) Activity: The ACC helps detect cognitive conflicts and inconsistencies, signaling when more in-depth thought is needed. People with lower ACC activity may be less likely to notice contradictions in information or feel the need to question it, making them more accepting of authority figures and less likely to challenge what they’re told.

Dopamine Sensitivity Leaning Toward Familiarity Over Novelty: People with lower dopamine sensitivity to novelty may prefer familiar, structured situations and may be less motivated to explore new ideas or question established beliefs. This preference for the familiar can lead to a tendency to follow authority rather than engage in critical thinking or seek out new information.

Higher Oxytocin Levels: Elevated oxytocin levels can increase social trust and bonding, which can be beneficial for group cohesion but may also lead to unquestioning trust in authority figures, especially within one's own social or cultural group. High oxytocin levels can reinforce loyalty to authority or group norms, reducing the drive for critical evaluation.

Less Active Default Mode Network (DMN) for Introspection: While the DMN is linked to self-reflection, people with a less active DMN may engage in less introspection, making them more likely to adopt external views without fully assessing them. This reduced self-reflection can make them more reliant on external authority for guidance.

Increased Cortisol from Chronic Stress: Chronic stress, which elevates cortisol, can impair PFC function, making it harder to engage in critical thinking. During stress, the brain often shifts toward emotion-driven responses. High cortisol levels can push people toward authority as a way of offloading the stress of independent decision-making.

Mirror Neuron System Tendency Toward Social Conformity: In people who are particularly responsive to social cues, the mirror neuron system might make them more inclined to mimic the behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes of those around them, especially authority figures. This can reinforce a conformist mindset and reduce critical analysis.

In combination, these neurobiological tendencies can make it more challenging for individuals to independently assess information and increase their likelihood of relying on authority figures for guidance and validation. This is especially evident under stress, when the emotional brain takes precedence over the logical and reflective brain functions.

Now you're lying about Ginsburg issue with Roe v. Wade. Her issue was that it wasn't a right of privacy but a more obvious equal protection issue. Equal protection issues aren't left to the state.

Sad that you guys just lie and lie.

It has to kill @Lurker123 a bit because he's more intelligent than his peers so he realizes he's coalescing with a guy who gets all of his information from chatgpt and Russian bots on twitter.

You could have maybe made an argument that I was fringe 5 or 10 years ago. Not today.

Time for the "Progressives" to do a little catching up on reality. They were sold a bad of goods in many ways.

I would rather lose the election than to just lie about stuff like you're doing right now. Stuff that is easily researchable.

I don't want my side to govern by stupidity.

Hey remember kids! You can cut off your anatomy parts! But! You can’t get a tattoo, vote, buy alcohol or firearms because you aren’t old enough to handle those situations!

But sure! You can cut your wanker off!

Yep. Their bodies and minds are still developing. Many end up regretting it.

Most importantly, the medical community is not ready to do these procedures.

It's an experiment and not going well.

Let them do the latest/greatest on themselves and report back to us in 10 years.

Same with experimental vaccines.

Excellent analysis. It’s amazing that Mourning Joe and The View cows are doubling down on calling the Trump voters fascists, misogynistists, and homophobes.

So what do you propose to help Transgender children to better their transition process?

So what do you propose to help Transgender children to better their transition process?

Start with gene testing to see if it's not just a case of having a new outlet for growing pains.

That will likely rule out 90% of the cases based on studies which have looked at this.

If they do have genetic flaws like that Olympic boxer, address those directly.

Lastly, stop the corporations from using the chemicals which are causing this in the first place.

Blackrock is a primary shareholder in both the chemical companies and the transition surgery companies.

How convenient.
