Dawn being Dawn at ESPYs

Is there some rule that allows them to get around the filibuster? I thought they would need 60 votes in the Senate.

With the Senate in 2025 now having a Republican majority, they could indeed change the rules with just a simple majority through the "nuclear option" or by setting a new precedent. Given everything that Biden and Obama did on their watch, this would be a very garden-variety move.

First order of business should be repealing all the hundreds of billions of green energy spending in the deceptively name inflation reduction act. And while they are at it, delete all those 85,000 new IRS positions and turn them into border agents.

That would cause the Dems to implode, even though we know they were trying to do it the entire time under Biden, but couldn't get Manchin and Sinema to go along.

REPORT: Fired FEMA Manager Claims Discrimination Against Trump Supporters Wasn’t Isolated, Says Agency ‘Made [Her] a Patsy’

This news comes after internal messages reveal FEMA employees were told to “avoid [helping] homes advertising Trump.”

Now, FEMA has been hit with more bad news, as it was revealed that “FEMA didn’t answer half the calls it received for disaster aid.”

Let’s not forget that the media said that anyone claiming FEMA was incompetent or had an anti-Trump agenda was a “conspiracy theorist.”

In another remarkable example, it turns out those “conspiracy theories” were actually true.

Also, we need rules that force all the votes for Federal elections be to counted by midnight. And require voter ID. Don't care what states do with positions in their own states, but Federal elections need to be tightly controlled. Ridiculous that we still don't know the results in several states.

Defund the ATF and get rid of those 85k IRS fuqs

of course, that will also ultimately further increase the federal debt.

The IRS has lost thousands of employees to retirement in the last 10 years and has not been able to replace them. The biggest loss is from customer service agents who help taxpayers when they call with questions, as well as tax processors.

It's why it takes over a year for some people to get a refund.

the IRS Director who first went to Congress asking for increased funding to hire new people to replace those retiring was Trump's own appointee, Charles Rettig.

This is intentional.

The way to get rid of the IRS is to have others have a bad experience with the IRS, blame the workers for not working hard enough, then get those people support having even fewer workers. Which makes the experience worse for the next person.

Becomes a cycle until people think there is no reason to even have the IRS.

Hopefully we lose them all over the next four years.

There's no reason to have a bunch of IRS agents on the payroll trying to chase down pocket change from middle and lower income Americans.

It's like pissing in the ocean.

The interest on our debt alone LAST YEAR was $1.2 TRILLION. That figure gets larger each year. (below)

Not to mentioned, our government has been imposing a much greater tax which is inflation from corrupt money printing.

Instead, you take smart measures such as:

+ Stop sending all of our taxpayer money to Ukraine for people slaughtered
+ Dramatically cut the size of our government
+ Bring industry back to America and raise GDP
+ BTC Reserve Fund
+ Stop Stuffing Bills with a boatload of special interest group crap.
+ Stop spending over $100 Billion a year on Illegal Immigrants
+ Make Other Countries Pay Their Debts (The EU alone owes us $300 Billion)
+ Have China and others pay tariffs
+ Export Oil

And much more....This is how is gets done. Not shaking down waitresses. :)

For someone who spends so much time researching conspiracy theories you would think you would take a moment to actually research how military aid works.

90% of the Ukrainian funding goes to Americans in places like Columbia, SC.

Have no idea what you're talking about. Please elaborate.

BTW, the "conspiracy theorist" term is now one of endearment so please continue with that.

What I don't want to be is a "Watson theorist" as that's proven to be the opposite of reality. :)

We have 10+ million people living in the US illegally. That's not a country, it's a circus.

Now the same Democrats who let it happen (and encouraged it) are complaining that fixing it will be painful.

You're right. And it's YOUR fault.

This should really serve as a warning of why your political opinions are just blatantly wrong.

90% of the aid is given in weapons and equipment. Mostly through American stockpiles. Those stockpiles are then restocked. Weapons and equipment are made in more than 30 states across the country.

For example, FN manufacturing in Columbia makes M4s, M240s, and M249s. So that aid "given to Ukraine" is just spent paying workers who live in Columbia, SC to build weapons. So by not aiding Ukraine, you're just hurting workers in SC.

Oh - You're referring to the money laundering piece. Yes, please see below.

One of the first things I'd like to see is the law changed to where the number of house seats a state gets is determined by number of US citizens and not just the number residents.

First allow oil companies to build at least five new refineries over the next four years. Commit to build three new nuclear power plants in the next four years.

Maybe. it sure makes it easier for a politician to blast a government agency if you are at the same time making it very hard for them to do their job.

I don't think most Republicans in Congress want to get rid of the IRS. The IRS capturing taxes is how social security and medicare operates.

So if you are happy to have Medicare, you want the IRS to be able to collect everyone's proper taxes.

I think they believe too many of their own supporters simply don't want them to spend any money on it, but then you run into situations like my dad faced a few years ago when he waited almost 8 months to get his damn refund. It wasn't a big refund, but it was his money and he was upset about it. But he had filed by mailing in his return because he preferred doing it the old fashioned way (he's finally changed that) and he was very bitter about it.

Some businesses owners (actually quite a few) have waited over a year to get their refunds back simply because the IRS doesn't have enough employees to process returns, especially ones from businesses that can be more complicated.

if we are going to have an agency that helps fund things Americans want, it needs to be able to replace retiring workers.

I've never had an issue with the IRS or paying my taxes.

I'm glad to live in a country, protected by the most powerful military in world history. I don't mind paying for the benefits I receive by living here.

That would require a constitutional amendment. Unlikely.

One of the reasons for that are some states have historically had many more non-citizens for various reasons- South Carolina is actually one - being we have a large number of farm workers and hotel workers that are from other countries that aren't citizens but do require public programs (when they get sick, they go to the emergency room, or receive other services where they live from cities/towns/counties.)

Most states want them counted because they don't want to get less money because they want to be able to adequately fund public services.

Agreed it is unlikely. And that's fine. Lets get everyone on record and see where everyone stands.

Another example of just how corrupt this administration has been. Who wants to pay taxes when this kind of thing is happening and they are running our debt to the moon? Even Jon Stewart called the DOD out on their laundering. Total Lowlifes.
I'd expect no less from an administration who's party will gladly take 25 dollars from some poor little supporter during an election and give it to some rich celebrity.

100%. I certainly hope all of the things they've done will be exposed to people who aren't aware. This wasn't anything like we've seen from either party in my lifetime. There was a group of bad actors running everything behind the scenes who looted us for four years while pushing policy that was internationally crushing this country. Hard to wrap your mind around.
