You should live near a redneck. In Northern Spartanburg Co. We have gotten our tractors and bobcats out and the backroads are better than the main roads.
Everyone complaining about the roads not being scraped.

Assuming the roads get plowed in SC, where are you going to go? Unless things have changed since I lived there, there were practically no private contractors with plows, so that meant that all parking lots were still going to be covered in snow. Seems like the Walmart and mall parking lots would be a fiasco under those circumstances. Just chill and wait for it to melt. Heck, isn't that why you all bought 3 loaves of bread and 5 gallons of milk on Friday?
What roads? You mean those cracked up pot hole ones? If something doesn't get done we'll be down to the dirt.
That's what we are shooting for, if we tear them up bad enough they will have to do something.
Heck, Jesus fed 5K with that. We’re good til it melts.
I was working in Oklahoma a few years ago and we had a ton of rain that flooded around us in a rural area. Several roads (dirt and paved) were washed away. By the end of the next day, local farmers had repaired them to better than they were before.
We haven't seen any of those gas taxes, I haven't seen the paving crews here in 45 years. I don't even think they know we are here.
I take that back, they do come put up "Bumpy Road" signs.
