Playing the Arkansas hogs away, the second game of the season, will help to determine if we have a real shot at an 8 game win total for the 2022 regular season. The hogs are highly rated (12-13) in some pre season publications , and plenty of returning talent on both sides of the ball. We have Georgia in the third game at home and will be a decided underdog. A 1-2 start , by beating Georgia State, at home would make it an up hill climb to reach 8 wins, with Texas A&M, Clemson both ranked, in the top 5 in the country by most pundits. No doubt , the Arkansas game will be one of our most important games and may well determine if we have a better season record than last year's . Imo, this years schedule, is much more difficult than last year's, so all that has to be considered, in our final record, to determine the direction of the program. It is highly possible to be much better but still not have as good a season as the 2021 imo.
