Who's bright idea was it to bring a guy out of retirement to coach this team? Ray Tanner should be required to give the university his salary back, worse AD I've ever seen, so glad he's not longer in the position
Tanner should have been fired alongside former HFC Muschamp. When I heard the man was finally stepping down it was like Christmas came early.
This Coach should be fired. I agree that it is his first year, but the results are not even bad, they are LAUGHABLE!!
Yes, I think the game as it is played today has passed him by. In the words of Hendricks he does look "dazed and confused."
Hell, he was quoted as saying “he didn’t know the SEC could throw 95mph”. That in itself is mind blowing
Many keep defending Tanner, for whatever reason. After his first two baseball hires were failures, they hung their "I love Tanner hats" on Paris, because he showed great improvement one year, and was of course awarded a huge pay raise and contract extension, that's the Tanner way. So now they are down to Beamer being their last chance to enshrine Tanner, but what has Beamer really done and where is the football program headed? Beamer's record after 4 years is 29 - 22 (57% winning %) overall and 15 - 17 (47% winning %), there is no indication in my opinion that he is bringing us out of the middle of the pack. That said, I am a realist and I think every coach should be given 4 or 5 years (assuming the programs they inherited were in shambles). I like Beamer and Paris and fully support them, but if Beamer's record the next 3 years is the same as his last 3 years (22 -17), should Beamer still remain? And what does Paris have to do to keep his job more than 4 years?
The new AD had a lot of changes and improvements that must be made for USC to make any moves towards the top of the conference, with NIL and the portal, it will be difficult in football and basketball, and baseball has its own issues now.
You "MAYBE" give Paris and Beamer a little longer leash, they are Young, the Miserable Baseball coach is OLD as dirt, so he, unfortunately doesnt get the same amount of ROPE.. (IMO)
Wha? Beamer had one of the best seasons in history last year. He also has as many wins as any football coach in our history after 4 years and he's dealing with a pay-to-play league and the UT/OU addition.
The baseball team situation is another recruiting story.

I didnt even realize it was THIS bad. But fret not, Bringing in this old "Washed up" coach will certianly turn these stats around!!!
