This winter has been a real challenge for our gas furnace. It's only about 7 years old. We have had our guy out numerous times. He is at a loss for what is happening with it. Let me say he is not charging us for all these visits. I sincerely think he wants to fix it but just can't figure it out. The issue is it comes on, but does not ignite the burner, then it cycles off. It will do this over and over til we get frustrated and turn the thermostat up to cycle it off. When it does work it works really well. He has changed the thermostat, a pressure control sensor and rerouted condensation line to an active sump pump versus pvc pipe underground outside. He determined the exhaust flu is not obstructed and still it is not right. Can anyone diagnose this issue or recommend a service that won't stick it to us and still not fix the problem. It's suppose to be in the teens tonight and we have gas logs so we won't freeze, but damn the toilet seat is cold! We live in Greenville downtown. Your help would be appreciated!
