--South Carolina will welcome in a handful of visitors this weekend with the list potentially growing Saturday if guys opt to come in the day of and check out a practice or the game. Here’s the expected big visitors right now for Saturday:

Cam Scott, 2024 guard/wing
Emanuel Richards, 2023 wing

There could be some more big names come in but those aren’t confirmed just yet (if they do show up, we’ll have you covered).

--Scott is someone who was on campus right when he was allowed to and was back again earlier this month, so Saturday’s trip will be the third since 2024 prospects were able to get on campus.

Playing at Lexington, he’s obviously someone who’s really close to campus and the Gamecocks have done a good job of getting in early and establishing themselves as a player in his recruitment. Chuck Martin is the assistant handling the lead here and has done well building a relationship with Scott and his family.

If you missed our interview with Scott, it’s here. Georgia, Florida State and Clemson also seem to be three of the other schools in play here, at least early.

--Richards is someone the Gamecocks have shown some interest in, having him in for the team’s elite camp and getting him back on campus for a visit this weekend. He plays up in North Carolina at Christ School.

We’re hoping to have more on him if he does make it in and get an update on his recruitment.

--One guy who was supposed to officially visit this week but canceled the trip was 2022 forward and top 150 player Elijah Saunders, who will now choose between Miami, San Diego State and Miami. He’s someone the Gamecocks were in good shape with, obviously hinging on him getting on campus, but the feel is Saunders wants to stay closer to home (he preps now in Arizona) and I would be shocked if San Diego State wasn’t the pick here.

--One name to pay attention to right now is North Carolina forward/wing Daniel Hankins-Sanford. He picked up a South Carolina offer Wednesday night and has been on the Gamecocks’ radar for a while.

South Carolina had him on campus for the Elite Camp in August and was up at his high school in the Charlotte area this week to visit with him. He’s someone the Gamecocks like from an energy and athleticism standpoint who also gives them some length on the wing, if he were to enroll.

He’s someone who was mentioned to me as a nice fit for what Frank Martin and the Gamecocks want to do, and he would likely be able to come in and help from a rebounding and defensive perspective early. I would pay close attention to him and his recruitment.

--We’ve talked a lot about GG Jackson on this board and kept heavy tabs on his recruitment, and rightfully so. The Gamecocks are in a very, very good position right now with him entering his junior year.

The feedback I continue to get is very positive from South Carolina’s perspective and chances to get him, but it’s nowhere close to a done deal. The Gamecocks are in a battle with teams like Virginia, North Carolina and others but have positioned themselves well in his recruitment.

He’s been described as a “program changer,” and seems very open to the idea of staying home. We spoke with him recently here.

--I would also pay attention to 2023 forward TJ Power, who the Gamecocks have been recruiting heavily as well. He’s considered the No. 64 player in his class and a four-star prospect with offers from Boston College, UConn, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Marquette, Miami, Oklahoma and others.

--South Carolina’s been making their rounds visiting high schools. Some of the guys they’ve seen and visited (it is not a complete list): 2022 wing Josh Reed, 2022 wing Hankins-Sanford, 2022 forward Perry Smith, 2023 guard/wing Comeh Emuobor, 2023 wing Brandon Gardner, 2023 forward GG Jackson, 2023 forward Aaron Hall, 2023 forward Mike Nwoko, 2024 guard Kyle Greene
