How does Clemson lose 3 first round draft picks

Exactly. We showed everyone how to score on them. Thing is you got to make them punt. Which is hard to do

That's kind of the point of playing defense, that is not the "trick" to beating Clemson...

IMO if there was a trick, it'd be to keep them to field goals. I don't think there is a team out there that is possible of shutting them out. I think if a team could keep them to a few field goals it could start to get to them mentally and make them lose some confidence.

Competition is void in 95% of their games so they get the luxury of longterm game planning for the better opponents.
Looking at last 3 years vs. teams that finished (not started) in the final top 25, how is Clemson's competition against quality opponents lacking more than SEC teams? Clemson has played more games vs. Top 25 than every single SEC East team, and in some case significantly more. Only 2 SEC West teams (Alabama and Auburn) have played more quality opponents the last 3 years than Clemson. And noone in the country has beaten more top 25 teams than Clemson.

Clemson's schedule this year looks lighter than it has been, but lets wait and see what it looks like when all of the hay is in the barn and we see the final rankings. Regardless, the past 3 years don't reflect your narrative.

They are good and I’ll give them that but playing GT, A&M, and Syracuse aren’t exactly great tests of strength. Bama has some real issues and no way they go all the way. Our only hope is we get against lucky and beat Clemson or UGA gets to the playoffs and destroys them.

6 of those teams of the 14 are ACC teams like Louisville, Miami, Virginia Tech, Boston College, and NC State. Florida State and Louisville were good in 2016 but the rest don't leave an impression.

5 teams were playoff teams.

Against SEC ranked teams in those years what is Clemson's record?

Yup. They are self-sustaining now. Their success essentially recruits for them. Which in turn leads to more success. And on and on. Dabo has the perfect ecosystem going there.

Thx Troll, maybe you can take your dabo love somewhere else because it doesn't fly here, and yes you are too stupid to know how obvious and easy it is to label you a troll. You don't even know how to do it effectively. Go get a life taterhead.

5-1 against ranked SEC teams since 2016.

You will probably wish you had not asked that question.

During the 2016, 2017 & 2018 seasons, the only team that beat more SEC teams that finished ranked in the final top 25 poll than Clemson was Alabama. And keep in mind Clemson beat Bama 2 of those 3 years.

Between 2016-2018 Clemson beat 5 SEC teams that finished ranked in the top 25. They were Bama (2), Bama (2), Auburn (10), A&M (16) and Auburn (24). That's as many or more top 25 SEC wins as every other team in the SEC had and Clemson doesn't even play in the SEC. Including Georgia, Auburn, LSU, Florida, A&M, etc. - none of those SEC conference teams outside of Bama had more wins over ranked SEC teams than Clemson. In fact, only 3 teams in the SEC had more than 2 wins against ranked SEC teams at years end.

And keep in mind the 5 wins above doesn't count A&M from 2019 who is currently ranked. Assuming they finish the year ranked that would be 6 ranked SEC wins and run Clemson's SEC record since 2016 to 9-1 with the lone loss coming to Bama in 2017.

Success begets success.
When a team gets so far ahead of a competitor they get to give the 2's and 3's reps, well it just improves their depth.
"Next man up" just means more to teams like Alabama and Clemson.

This is the answer here. No doubt that Clemson has recruited well, but not as well as Bama, OSU, and UGA. BUT, Dabo averaged playing over 70 guys in a game. Bama and UGA were in the low 50s. So when those 1s and 2s leave every year, they are replaced by guys that have a couple hundred snaps in real games.

clemson likely were using them also during that time period. One of the side effects of PEDS is aggressive behavior or mood swings. In this video it shows clemson with some aggressive behavior after a loss to the Terps.
You realize PEDS are anything from cold/allergy meds and nose sprays to medications prescribed by specialists (and muscle powders). All are illegal in college sports, but Drs. suggest OTC drugs or prescribe Rxs daily. Just don't take anything 24 hours before testing, if you play college sports.
None of the above will cause aggressive behavior. May make you sleepy though.

Ok let me be more specific. I’m talking about selective androgen receptor modulators.

ok, thanks.
I knew alot of HS athletes and bodybuilders used Enobosarm (same as all the other names).
It is so odd that HS Athletic Associations do not test for it. It is used so widely used and hidden in "muscle/recovery powders".
I guess politics is involved in this issue too.

Bama's average margin of victory over SEC opponents last year was over 30 points. Saban had every opportunity to play 70+ players a game but chose not too. Presumably to run up stats?? If you chose to go this route he has only himself to blame if his team is tired (even after a month between games).
Playing more players each game not only helps develop your 2's & 3's it also pays off in recruiting BIG TIME. These 4 & 5 star kids know that if they come in and do what's ask of them they will get to play no matter who is on the roster ahead of them. Keeps them engaged and ready when it's time for the "next man up".
