I don't really know what quempsum has done so far in baseball this year. But, they will pull out all of the stops against us because poor ole jacklegg needs to win the series in the worst kind of way.
How does everyone feel about the quempsum series this w/e?

Clemmons lost 2 out of 3 in their series opener with WVU, but they just swept Maine this weekend. Maine did take them to 14 innings in their game yesterday though.
Tuesday they will play Wofford and we will play Davidson at the same time. Next Friday, they will start Crownover, who's a pretty good pitcher (their best I presume). We will start Wynkoop UNLESS the rumor I read comes true and we start Crowe Friday night. Should be another great series matchup, I think we will win 2 out of 3, or at least I hope we can. Of course, the sweep would be just awesome though. You can be certain that jackleg will do everything he can possibly think of to win the Friday night game at their place. Don't be surprised if he accuses us of doing something illegal.

The better question is not about who is going to win, but will the games be played. We'll win the series if we play. Friday and Saturday weather expected to be horrible. Nothing new in this series.

One thing for certain, South Carolina will NOT beat clempson. If clempson loses, it will be the refs or they beat themselves.

This is why I wished the SEC would start conference play during weekend 4 instead of weekend 5. We & Clemron could schedule our "off" conference weekends at the same time and have the 3 games in 3 cities weekend in late April/early-mid May. Warm weather, both teams should be hitting their stride, even better than early season matchups.
Then the issue becomes scheduling the neutral-site game without conflcting with the Riverdogs, Drive, or Pelicans schedule.

For those worried about the weather, Accuweather is saying cloudy but cold Friday night up there, sunny but cold Saturday at Fluor, and cloudy and 66 Sunday. Weather report has improved since Friday.

They have two good left handed pitchers so this will not be an easy series. Need to get to their bullpen early because depth could be issue for them. Should be hard fought three games, weather permitting.
