In SEC women's basketball, if there is a tie in the regular season

Co-champions if tied, but SC would be the #1 seed in the SEC Tournament due to head to head.

It would be nice if they could wrap up the championship by winning at home on Thursday! Miss State is good. I saw where they won 25 games this year and are in the top 15.

Pretty sure we can't wrap it up by winning Thurs. If UT continues to win, best we can do Thurs is wrap up a regular season co-championship. We need to win against MSU and UK to win out if UT doesn't lose another.

UK, is going to come at us with everything they have and then some. Gosh, I hate to play in Lexington.

Okay, then here is how I understand it will play out with the two games

UT and USC have left.

TN (1-1) and
SC (1-1) = SC championTN (1-1) and
SC (0-2) = SC/TN co-championTN (1-1) and
SC (2-0) = SC championTN (2-0) and
SC (1-1) = SC/TN co-championTN (2-0) and
SC (0-2) = TN championTN (2-0) and
SC (2-0) = SC championTN (0-2) and
SC (1-1) = SC championTN (0-2) and
SC (0-2) = SC championTN (0-2) and
SC (2-0) = SC champion

Yes, they do indeed wrap up an SEC championship if they win on Thursday - just not sole possession. A win there and a loss at UK (assuming TN wins both games) would make them co-champions... but it's still a championship and SC would be the #1 seed in SEC Tournament. So if they win Thursday they're guaranteed a trophy and a banner.

Go Gamecocks!

All are correct, except for the highlighted one. If UT goes 1-1 and USC goes 0-2, then both schools will tie and be named co-champions.
