Is the SEC backed into a corner relative to Texas & OU? If both are indeed going to make a move

How many of us give enough of a damn to watch Clemson v Boston College or Clemson v Syracuse on TV? But I’ll sure watch Georgia v Kentucky or Georgia v Auburn. There is one feeling I had about the ACC that I can rarely feel now, and that is the high I used to get when we whipped some Tobacco Road azz.

We have waltzed into Alabama and knocked them off. And I wasn't delusional since we beat them the year before at our place. And I remember beating OSU 2 years in a row. I guess I'm just a Gamecock fanatic.
We have had some highlights. Some of them coincided with other people's lowlights.

I don't know the exact amounts, but I have no doubt that the SEC money is better. I was just stating a lifelong fan's view of things as they currently stand. I'd rather watch us play an ACC schedule, with an annual non-conference match up with UGA. Kind of like we used to do back in the 80's.
I am 78 years old and a lifelong fan of the gamecocks. But I have no desire whatsoever to go back into the ACC and play that schedule.I can never forget the absolute horrible treatment we received for many years from those sanctimonious holier than thou North Carolina schools.

Backed into a corner was the wrong term used by me. But, what I meant was does it nudge the SEC to maybe take UT and OU before someone else does. However, supposedly UT and OU approached the SEC so the term "backed into a corner" does not really apply.
As long as we all had the time of our life.
😉!
Freddie I just couldn’t resist, I do believe the dirty dancing references make more sense than folks may think & aTm would be the one feeling most left out

I remember that, too. The ACC in an underhanded way kicked USC out of the ACC. Now look who's laughing loudest and longest. The ACC had to put up a Berlin Wall to keep members in check. Hope it goes the way of the B12 with the SEC/B10 poaching its most desirable members.

No, sir. However much they disdained us, especially after McGuire came here, we left on our own because we thought we had a better idea. There were more independents then. Our better idea, to have more scholarships and lighter entrance requirements, lasted for about a year and we were left stupid, short-sighted, and homeless. How many relevant independents are there now? Stupid.
