I think recruiting is the answer to all of our problems. In my opinion Holbrook and Tanner to some extent spent all of our emphasis on recruiting pitchers with the expectation being that good pitching would allow us to play "small ball" and win. It clearly has not worked.
In football (Spurrier's remarks aside) we are getting our a____ handed to us by Clemson,Georgia and Tennessee. We heard that all we needed was to get our facilities up to SEC standards and the recruits would be breaking down our doors to come here.
Hasn't happeded. I don't know the answer. Is is our coaches recruiting skills or is something going on under the surface that we are not aware of. From what I read, we are in on some good players. Can we close? Have not done it in the past.
Soccer. The guy has been here too long. We need a good young energetic person that can attract the soccer players.
I don't know about SC but GA, especially the ATL area is a hotbed of high school soccer. We used to recruit this area and had success.
All of the so called olympic sports need an infusiion of talent that our present coaches can't seem to get.
Tanner. Good guy but he just seems out of his element. I have watched him(on TV) speak and interact with other ADs and he just looks awkward. He may be the man to straighten this out but I have my doubts.
