Hate to say it but Bill on 107.5 the game called it this morning as one to watch. He said the way the commitment went down it was a possibility

With the South Carolina's momentum, I do not understand why someone would choose Maryland over South Carolina. Yet, I am biased towards the Gamecocks and the SEC. As disappointing as it is to see a highly ranked recruit flip to another school, most of us are pleased when these young men flip to our favorite school. It is hard to praise on young man when he flips to South Carolina and criticize another athlete when he flips to different team.

Maybe he didn't want to tackle SEC running backs. Or perhaps the allure of playing for the home team was just too great an attraction.

He can put up GAWDY numbers at UMD, some kids want Gawdy numbers, some kids want to play against the BEST!! just the way it is. STONE is our Future ALL SEC linbacker anyway!!

Though we are mid tier SEC team and have a long way to go, why any highly talented kid would choose Maryland over SC and the SEC is astounding to me, but oh well....you do you.
Mid-tier, like 50% wins versus SEC schools? Are you including WBB in your calculation?

He will be at Maryland 1 year and transfer. Then probably transfer again. That's the nature of college football now. Can't trust a spoiled high school kid to know what a commitment means.
Give me a break. It is ridiculous that schools have been able to hold players hostages for this long. Sour grapes on your end. I wish him luck.

Nobody should throw out negative comments about this. If it were reversed and he flipped last minute to Carolina everybody would be ecstatic about it. Maybe he thought about it and decided he wanted to stay home, but really, it doesn’t matter what the reason is. If you’re gonna say something then wish him well and hope Carolina gets good enough to make him regret that choice. Good luck to you Mr. Barham.

If he doesn't transfer, he'll just play at a crappy FB school for 4-5 years.

Absent 3 years of Spurrier's tenure, Maryland is about the same to the B1G as South Carolina is to the SEC.....and there isn't much difference between those two conferences.
Agreed. I actually thought of that when I typed the post. But I see us on the uptick. U of MD seem to be the exact same team year after year. Maybe that's just my impression from afar.

Commitments mean little these days. In fact, with the transfer portal in place, enrollment marans nothing. It's free agency. The moment somebody gets a better NIL offer, or feels they may not be a starter from day one, they move to a better situation.

No, because he was told it would happen and doesn't need to make any assumptions for a flimsy motivation on a stupid theory, schmuck. That's the difference between what Beamer knows with support and the assertions you pull out your ass.
This is the quintessential example of you not arguing in good faith.
