Muschamp meeting with the media now. Updates will be in this post.

Updates

--Starts by challenging fans. Said they want them there early and loud. They make a difference and thinks they'll show up and impact the game.

--Trask has "arm talent" and has impressed Muschamp in what he's seen on film. Perine has a "strong lower body" and they've been impressed with him. They have a big, experienced group at receiver. They've played a lot of football and it shows.

--Defensively, Todd Grantham does a great job. They put a lot of "havoc on the football" and that has a lot to do with Grantham's scheme. They have two really good defensive ends and have two "outstanding corners" that can lock down receivers outside.

Injury report: Ryan Hilinski practiced Tuesday. They still expect him to play Saturday.

--Mullen does a good job putting together some window dressing on plays they like to get to. Said Dan Mullen is good about seeing the game from a defensive caller standpoint.

--Muschamp's message to the team: "You may not get what you want, but you get what you deserve."

--Team has to do some recognition things with Florida rotating in two quarterbacks. Said they don't do a whole lot of different things when those guys are in the game. Said they're actually pretty shorthanded right now with guys who can simulate that on scout team.

--He's been impressed with progression of Rick Sandidge and Zacch Pickens. Also said Javon Kinlaw's taken the next step in the film room and comes in on Mondays and whatnot to get a jump on film prep. Said it sets an example for the younger guys.

--Muschamp said playing noon games plays to their advantage. Said they practice in the morning so it helps getting up and playing early Saturday.

--Said he liked what he's seen from Dakereon Joyner. Said they're monitoring the knee and listening to the training staff on Hilinski's knee going forward.

--Muschamp raves about Donell Stanley. Said he's a guy to gauge the team's mindset, fatigue and where they are from a player standpoint. He's honest with Muschamp, and that's big for him.

--Said defense has played well and they spend a lot of time talking to the players about what they feel comfortable with. If a player is comfortable in a defense, he usually plays faster.

--Team had a good summer in the conditioning department. That hasn't been an issue all year.

--Muschamp joking about his final game against South Carolina at Florida. Said the biggest thing was getting a punt blocked. Laughs and says, "We didn't take the quarterback Dylan Thompson on a zone read. Can you believe that?"

--Muschamp asked about Dakereon Joyner and raves about his character to stick things out and get a bunch of snaps. Compares it to Kyle Trask at Florida.

--OrTre Smith has been battling a hamstring and a shoulder injury. Did mention he went through a serious surgery last year and it set him back right now. Said he's working through that right now.

"We need for him to come along and he wants to."

--Having Jake Bentley is very beneficial. He's been in every meeting and is big for development of Hilinski and Joyner. It's easier when you have a peer that's been through it and gone through it.

--Recruits don't chose a school based on one game but winning a game like they did against Georgia shows prospects progress. That's big.

--Muschamp asked about bringing in a older veteran guy as an analyst, said Dan Werner's been great and more is not always better. He likes where they are from an offensive staff right now but they're always looking to improve and get better.
